Lady Riders Club Philippines Cebu Chapter Sec no. CN201961829 OUR STORY

Who would have thought that from a simple group chat LRC would turn into a well-organized group?

It was September of last year when it had been agreed upon by the pioneering members to make LRC or Lady Riders Cebu, an official group for all interested lady riders following LRC's affiliation with Motorista Pilipinas. From 15 members, now the group has increased up to almost 50 members, not to mention, all these are active members. To unveil the secrecy on how we were able to attain such - Qual

ity over Quantity. The group is open to all female riders of Cebu, and its vision is to promote equality among all female riders regardless of what type of bike they own. LRC does not look after the brand, nor how fast one's motorcycle could go, but rather what's important is the determination and courage to get their asses on their bike and start throttling. They are committed to supporting and empowering each and every female rider in achieving their desire to overcome stereotypes. There's nothing that MEN CAN do that these WOMEN CANNOT do. LRC's first ride to the western towns, cities and municipalities of Cebu was indeed so memorable to the group. With only seven confirmed members back then, hesitations were at the back of their minds, but they have always believed that a group is not a group without trust and camaraderie. With that being said, members have always had the impression that LRC isn't just an ordinary group of interested lady riders, but it could also be an outlet for the others to escape from the harsh and mean reality. A few more rides followed, from Biketoberfest 2016, Ride to Carmen pit, Round South Cebu, Sinulog Ride, Ride to Daan Bantayan and a lot more. Provided with a pacer, a marshal and a sweeper, everything went well.

“Never underestimate women like us” - This group isn't only composed of ordinary riders, these ladies are suited with skills and talents. Not only are these ladies well trained on the roads, some are also very well trained on the race tracks – the LR²C (Lady Rider Racers Cebu), to which is known to have originally been formed to create unity among a few riders, most especially the racers who have competed against each other on the race track prior to the creation of the LRC group. It's not just all about the rides, of course, Charity works have always been a part of the game plan. From feeding, to restoration of an old lady's sikad, sharing the joy of Christmas , Balik eskwela and many more. Monthly track days played an important role to all the members of Lady Riders Cebu. It does not only simply help the group learn more about motorcycle driving, but it also teaches the rider proper handling, maneuvering, clutching, first aid to basic and advanced troubleshooting and of course road discipline. Handling of smaller bikes with smaller displacement to big bikes with higher displacement, – all these are taught and learned during LRC’s monthly track sessions. Lady Riders Cebu isn't just an organization but rather an environment to all ladies who wish to improve their skills, confidence and talents on motorcycling. An environment to express their desire towards their passion for riding, A place for everyone to chill and relax after a hard day's work, and a community that helps its fellow communities who are badly in need of any kind of help. LRC does not welcome negativity, they are here for 3 reasons RIDE, HELP and EXPAND.
