The SAFAD community celebrates the achievements of our very own USC Cinema Filmmakers for making their mark at the Sine Kabataan 2026 Film Festival! 🎬

We proudly celebrate Elj Seth Tababa, for winning Best Director, with "Bato’ng Bunga" taking home Best Short Film, alongside Ethan David Gipano for Best Cinematography.

We also recognize USC Cinema alumnus and film producer Jon Owen Lepiten for being part of this achievement.

Congratulations to the entire team! Your passion, skills, and dedication continues to set the bar for Carolinian filmmakers and making SAFAD proud. 🎥 🔺️

𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐀𝐃 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔
𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆. 🔺

𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐄 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 brought together SAFAD student leaders from different SAFAD Student Organizations including USCARS - UAPSA, A3, CINEMATA, USCCLAS, and INSIDE for a day of learning, collaboration, and meaningful conversations last 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.

With a series of meaningful discussions from Kathleen Convicto the OSFA Student Activities Officer TC and Viviene Cabataña an alumni and former student leader from the USC Supreme Student Council & USC Junior Jaycees, it paved the way for reflection of one's strengths and weaknesses, created an opportunity of building a stronger foundation of leadership, recognition of skills and collaboration with fellow student leaders.

Great leaders are forged with solid integrity, a sense of responsibility and taking accountability.

The 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐀𝐃 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 recently concluded its online 𝐎𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 for its new and returning members this Saturday (Sept.19). We in the SAFAD-SC Welcome our new committee members and volunteer arc, We would like to thank everyone who officially joined to be part of the organization. This is the beginning of the journey for many of our creatives to take their first steps as student leaders. May we welcome and wish them the best for this academic year 2026 - 2027.
