Monkey Caught Stealing Bike to Ride Into Town
A man living on the edge of the jungle noticed something odd each morning, his bicycle was never where he left it. Villagers then began whispering about a mysterious figure seen pedaling through the streets at night. When security cameras were checked, the truth stunned everyone: it was a chimpanzee.
The animal had learned by silently watching the man ride his bike into town every day. At night, it climbed on, pedaling into the marketplace to raid banana stalls and grab whatever produce it could carry before returning the bike by dawn.
Scientists later explained that chimpanzees are capable of riding bicycles, but what made this case remarkable was how the chimp had taught itself entirely by observation. The story quickly spread through the village, turning the “midnight cyclist” into a local legend.
