"Feed the Homeless" 🍽️

Last July 31, Rotary Club Cebu South served 70 homeless individuals with warm meals and food packs.

As President, I was honored to be there with our treasurer Ronnie Aguilar and fellow Rotarians. Seeing smiles and saying "mangaon ta" reminded us why we do this work.

Small acts, big impact. This is Rotary Service Above Self.

Led by President Geopeter Mayhew, together with Past President Randy Vasquez, Secretary Shan accompanied by her fiancé, John, Treasurer Ronnie Aguilar, and our active member, Rotarian Phil Campbell, RCCS discussed preparations for the upcoming District Bloodletting Activity in partnership with Rotary District 3860 and the Philippine Red Cross–Cebu Chapter.

We invite all Cebuanos to join us at GMall on July 26, 2026, and donate blood. Every donation can help save a life and bring hope to someone in need. ❤️🩸

Brigada Eskwela Activity

Under the leadership of President Geopeter Mayhew, RCCS planned its first activity of the Rotary Year—a collaborative Brigada Eskwela initiative with the Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria Maris at our signature project, the Tulay Day Care Center in Minglanilla, Cebu.

Also in attendance were Assistant Governor Rheiner Mora, Past President Dante Arriesgado, Secretary Shan, Treasurer Ronnie Aguilar, and Rotarian Phil Campbell.

Together, we planned to beautify and repair the school, distribute food, and hold a meaningful fellowship with the children’s parents and teacher—an inspiring beginning to a year of service and lasting impact. 💙💛

Rotary Club of Cebu South 55th Induction & Handover Ceremony!

Leadership in Rotary is never defined by a title it is measured by a lifetime of service, commitment, and the legacy we leave behind.

From beginning his Rotary journey as a Rotaractor in 2006, to dedicating 20 years of service to Rotary, Rtn. Geopeter Mayhew has exemplified what it truly means to live *Service Above Self*.

We proudly celebrate his induction as the 55th President of the Rotary Club of Cebu South for Rotary Year 2026–2027 a remarkable milestone that reflects two decades of passion, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to making a difference.

As President Geopeter and the newly inducted Board of Directors and Officers embark on this new chapter, we express our sincere appreciation to our Immediate Past President, Rtn. Rheiner Mora, for his exceptional leadership throughout Rotary Year 2025–2026 and for his continued guidance and steadfast support as RCCS moves forward.

The celebration was made even more meaningful by the presence of our esteemed Past Presidents, whose unwavering support, wisdom, and mentorship symbolize the unity and enduring strength of our club. Their continued commitment reminds us that while leadership terms may end, the call to serve never does. With leaders from different generations standing together, we begin this new Rotary year united by one purpose to Create Lasting Impact through meaningful service, genuine fellowship, and compassion for our communities.

Last Friday, July 3, Rotary Club Cebu South held our 1st Regular Meeting for Rotary Year 2026-2027 at Club Filipino, Cebu City.

The meeting was officially called to order by your President Geopet Mayhew with my very first bang of the gavel for the year.

With the Rotary International theme Create Lasting Impact, we look forward to a year of meaningful projects, strong fellowship, and service that truly makes a difference in our communities.

Thank you to all our fellow Rotarians who showed up and supported the meeting. Your presence sets the tone for a great year ahead!

Rotary Club Cebu South Brings Service Above Self to Tulay Daycare Center for Brigada Eskwela 2026.

Last July 11, Rotary Club Cebu South headed to Tulay Daycare Center for our annual Brigada Eskwela project.

Rotarians and volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help prepare the school for the opening of classes. The team did painting works to brighten up the classrooms and make the learning space more cheerful and welcoming for the children.

To make the day extra special, we also served Jollibee spaghetti to the kids. The smiles, laughter, and thank yous from the children reminded us why we do this work.

Present during the activity were RC Cebu South President Geopet Mayhew VP Levin Calza & spouse Judith G Villanueva , AG Rheneir Mora, PP Richard D. Cabaluna Rtn. Phil Campbell and our partners from RC Cebu Gloria Mariz headed by President Dorothy Borces.

Brigada Eskwela is more than just cleaning and repairs. It’s about creating a safe, clean, and inspiring environment where young learners can thrive. Through this project, Cebu South continues to live out our commitment to Basic Education and Literacy one of Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus.

Thank you to all who gave their time, resources, and heart. Together with our sister club Rotary Club Cebu, we’re creating a lasting impact, one classroom at a time.

Last June 26, 2026, during the District Governor's Official Visit, the Rotary Club of Cebu South proudly presented its strategic goals and commitments for Rotary Year 2026–2027 before District Governor Arlene Juele Adlawan.

Aligned with the vision and priorities of District 3860, Rotary Club of Cebu South reaffirmed its commitment to achieving our District Goals by strengthening membership growth, ensuring the sustainability of our club.

This commitment is driven by the collaborative leadership of RY President Geopeter Mayhew, together with Past President Randy Vasquez, TRF Chair; Past President Jack Torrejos, Membership Chair; and Assistant Governor Rheiner Mora, who presented and expounded on RCCS's goals, strategic direction, and commitment to Rotary excellence.

Together, we remain dedicated to building a stronger and more sustainable Rotary Club while continuing to serve our communities and create meaningful, lasting impact.
