Three years ago, we entered the university carrying different versions of ourselves. Some of us arrived certain that teaching was the dream. Others were still trying to figure out where we belonged. We came from different schools, different stories, and different reasons for choosing this path, yet somehow we all found ourselves in the same classrooms, learning not only how to become teachers, but how to become better people.
Somewhere between lesson plans, reporting, demo teachings, readings, deadlines, field studies, examinations, and the ordinary days we thought we would forget, time quietly does what it always does. Without us noticing, the freshmen who once searched for classrooms, hesitated during recitations, and wondered whether we were truly meant for this profession to become the pre-service teachers standing together today.
This pin is small, but the journey it represents is anything but.
It carries every late night spent finishing requirements, every moment of self-doubt, every friendship that makes difficult days a little lighter, every professor who challenges us to think beyond the textbook, and every experience that reminds us that education has never been about simply standing in front of a classroom.
Today, as we look back on yesterday's ceremony, we realize that this milestone is never just about receiving a pin. It is about embracing the responsibility that comes with it. As future educators, may we always remember that teaching is never about believing our own perspective is enough. Every learner walks into the classroom with a story different from ours, and perhaps our greatest responsibility is not merely to teach with our hearts, but to teach with meaning, with the humility to recognize that learning has never belonged to only one side of the classroom. Long before our students learn from us, we, too, must remain willing to learn from them.
Perhaps that is the kind of teacher we are truly called to become.
To ๐๐๐๐๐, thank you for making these three years something we will carry long after graduation. Thank you for every shared reviewer, every encouragement before an exam, every laugh in between stressful weeks, every "kaya pa ni," and every reminder that none of us has to reach this moment alone.
We may not realize it while living through ordinary days, but one day we look around and find ourselves standing where we once only hoped to be.

Here's to the classrooms waiting for us, the learners we have yet to meet, and the teachers we continue becoming๐.
