Short Sunday Reflection:
What keeps us from taking part in the Feast of God?
People often say that it is hard to be good and holy, to be close to God. Often they put the blame on their situations, the "busyness" of life or of this or that obstacle.
But in God's eyes, the ultimate obstacle is our refusal to say "yes" to God's invitation. God's voice whispers to our ears, he invites us for a conversation and an honest discernment, but we refuse to heed, believing that "yes" is an impossible ask.
God's invitation is an ongoing invitation, he waits for that moment when we realize that nothing in this world is more important than his Feast. Then perhaps, we will come to understand the great gift of God's invitation, and recalibrate our lives to be worthy and ready to join in His Banquet.
