Our volunteers were on duty for emergency response and post-donor care, making sure every donor was safe, hydrated, and cared for from start to finish.

As this term draws to a close, the AMSA-SENOM Executive Board extends our deepest gratitude to every single member, volunteer, and partner. From our training sessions to our medical and community outreach missions, this year has been an incredible privilege. Together, we’ve navigated challenges, organized impactful health initiatives, and proved that our dedication goes far beyond any trophy or title.

Our advocacy this year has always been rooted in "𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍"—a promise that is not about having every answer, but about the relentless pursuit of them. We have built a culture that firmly believes being a student is not a waiting period, but a platform for action. Whether through scientific research, advocacy, or hands-on volunteerism, AMSA-SENOM advocates for a medical profession that stays '𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅’—𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄. Last May 16, AMSA-SENOM took part in the surgical mission ("Operation Tuli") conducted at Barangay Catarman, Liloan.

The initiative was led by Dr. Leonilo Borinaga and team, providing essential healthcare services to the community. Members of AMSA-SENOM actively participated in the mission, gaining valuable hands-on experience and sharpening their clinical skills in the field.

Thank you to everyone who organized, volunteered, and supported this impactful community service event!

From lecture halls to the community. ✨ Our AMSA-SENOM Junior Clerks joined the Lapu-Lapu City Government's Libreng Tuli mission last April 28, 2026 at the Hoops Dome, Barangay Gun-ob, contributing their time and skills to bring free circumcision and post-operative care to those who need it most. Every patient seen, every hand held, every procedure assisted — it all builds the physicians we're becoming.

On April 11, 2026, the lecture halls were quiet as our members dove into the world of surgical precision and emergency care!

🩺 The success of this workshop was rooted in the exceptional mentorship we received throughout the day. We were honored to learn from the Surgery Department of SWUMED, under the guidance of Dr. Elmer Jabagat, MD, FPCS, FPSGS, FPALE. The residents, PGIs, and clerks provided an invaluable bridge to the operating room, sharing the clinical wisdom and surgical precision necessary for every aspiring physician.

The training was further enriched by the MMTC Team, with Admins Miss Jang and Sir Ted, and Training Instructor Sir Jaypee sharing their vital expertise. Their dedication to teaching Basic Life Support ensured that every participant gained the skills and confidence to respond effectively in critical, life-saving moments.

Seeing the AMSA-SeNoM family grow in skill and focus makes every workshop worthwhile. We’re leaving today more prepared for the wards and more inspired for the future! 🩺✨

Building Foundations in Surgical Skills

OPERATION TULI SKILLS WORKSHOP
Basic Training on Suturing Techniques and Local Anesthesia Administration

A hands-on training for AMSA SENOM members, headed by Dr. Elmer S. Jabagat, MD, FPCS, FPSGS, FPALE.

This workshop provides guided instruction and supervised practice aimed at introducing core surgical skills. Participants will be oriented on proper suturing techniques and the safe administration of local anesthesia, with emphasis on accuracy, technique, and clinical readiness.
