๐ฑ RETHINKING CARE IN A WARMING WORLD ๐
On September 9, 2026, the Standing Committee on Environmental Health (SCONE) of AMSAโSeNoM, in collaboration with Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) Southeast Asia, successfully conducted Project Kinaadman: Rethinking Care in a Warming World through the session โPrescribing Climate Action: An Introduction to Climate, Health, and Leadership in Healthcare.โ
We were honored to learn from the guest speaker, Rica Rafaela Jarcia, MSPH, Climate and Health Officer of Health Care Without Harm Southeast Asia, as she guided participants in exploring the vital intersection of climate, health, sustainability, and leadership in healthcare.
The session reminded us that climate change is not only an environmental concern; it is a health concern that calls for action from all of us, especially those preparing to serve as future healthcare professionals.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our event partners, Haynayan Society, CNU-Biological Society, and Asian Medical Students' Association WVSU, for joining us in advancing conversations on climate, health, and the future of healthcare.
Because caring for people also means caring for the environment they live in. ๐ฟ
From awareness to action, Project Kinaadman continues to inspire us to rethink what healthcare can and should look like in a warming world.
