June 12, 2026 || Stella Maris Cebu Celebrates Mass for Solemnity of the Sacred Heart and Independence Day with Seafarers
In a timely and grace-filled convergence of celebrations, Stella Maris Cebu held a Holy Mass today on the international vessel Belle Nature in honor of the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which coincides with the country’s Independence Day.
The Mass was made possible through the invitation of Capt. Apostol, to whom the Stella Maris ministry extends its deep gratitude. The chaplain and companions were warmly welcomed by the entirely Filipino crew of Belle Nature, a vessel that navigates international routes, including China, America, and Australia.
A touching aspect of the celebration was the presence of the crew’s families, including their sons and daughters, who joined the Mass on board. It was a powerful witness of community and shared faith.
The Stella Maris logo, with a heart at its center, perfectly captures the spirit of the day. The heart signifies the Heart of Christ radiating love to all people of the sea, especially seafarers. The feast of the Sacred Heart provides a profound image of God’s unwavering love, a love that extends to the seafarers who dedicate their lives to the ocean.
Both the crew and their families were overjoyed and deeply grateful as they received gifts of rosaries, chaplets, mugs, t-shirts, and magazines from Stella Maris Cebu.
