It’s been two weeks after we finished UUU 23rd Orchestra Project. We, UUU staff would like to reflect this UUU23rd.
This time, the Japanese members gathered and came from Japan were 61(including staff). It seems like big numbers, but actually this was the smallest in two years.
During the requirement period, we really try to make efforts for the advertisement and any plan to approach potential UUU members.
There was a lot of trial and error involved in the planning of project itself.
To ensure that both the SS kids and the Japanese UUU members found the activity meaningful and enjoyable, we had numerous discussions asking ourselves, "Is this really the right plan?"
Many times, our weekly(sometimes more than twice a week) online meetings can drag on for several hours, sometimes even past midnight.
But all of those were for the sake of the smiles of the UUU members, the Seven Spirit Kids, and everyone who comes to watch our concert over these 11 days.
Even though all of staffs living in different places, the entire organizing team was able to work together towards the same goal during this preparation period.
And the day we finally started the project at Cebu, on February 20th.
We were touched by the kindness and warmth of all the members who joined UUU from Japan, and there were many moments this season when all of our staff felt truly relieved.
“Share music and smile, for Cebuano children, for SS kids, for UUU members”
With this theme, all of us could spend our time for the 11days.
We had 7 concerts this time, 5 at schools, 1 at community and the last one was SM city. And it was first time ever that all performers could join all concerts with healty condition.
We also had big challenges this time, witch is “Pini de Roma 4th movement”
We decided to choose this piece because we believe that we can try if it’s with UUU members.
I think the SS kids, who initially thought they couldn't do it, were able to complete this piece thanks to the courage and confidence they received from the UUU members.
We were deeply moved to see how challenging the children with something a little more difficult than usual boosted their confidence.
We imagine there were times when people struggled with finding the right balance between having fun and making good music.
However, the smiles on everyone's faces as they participated in the project with a positive attitude, finding meaning in everything that happened during the project and striving to turn everything in a positive direction, were truly wonderful.
This group of members will never perform together again, and that's precisely why the music from that final concert was born. We are sure that no matter how many times you listen to it, you'll be able to vividly recall the feelings you had at that time.
Seven Spirit will continue our support for children to be able to enjoy and be engrossed in music.
And UUU will continue to be updated as an important opportunity for Japanese members to interact with SS kids.
There were OB and OG of UUU who came to Cebu just to watch final concert.
There were people who watched final concert live through social media from all over the world.
And there are always many supporters who are helping SS and UUU in any ways.
Thanks to all of you who have always supported Seven Spirit and UUU in your hearts, we were able to successfully complete this project this season.
Although it's only an 11-day project, the preparation period for these 11 days actually spans about six months.
Without even having time to savor the afterglow of this project's completion, preparations for the next, 24th project are already started.
What kind of music will we be able to create and with whom next time?
Please look forward to future updates.🙂↕️
