THE NEW LOGO OF VOLSH✨

The Vicariate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart unveils its new logo to reinstate its call for youth ministry and a renewed life of faith among the nine parishes of Mabolo, Lahug, Guadalupe, Banawa, Capitol, Guba, Maomawan, Pulangbato, and Talamban.

This new logo of the Vicariate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart stands as a manifesto of a living faith that calls us closer to Christ. The flame draws us to keep our devotion burning; the image of Jesus anchors us in a love that saves and sustains; Mary’s presence leads us with tenderness and obedience to God; and the youth in green remind us that we are being formed and sent for a purpose greater than ourselves. It invites us to respond with sincerity and courage—so that our lives reflect prayer in action, faith in service, and love expressed in every step we take toward Christ.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐏𝐘𝐂𝐂 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬

Yesterday, during the 5:30 PM Mass presided by Rev. Fr. John Temothy Jadulco, Parish Priest and Parish Youth Director of Birhen sa Guadalupe sa Sugbu Parish, the new set of Parish Youth Coordinating Council (PYCC) officers had their commissioning rites.

With hearts filled with faith and dedication, these young leaders embraced their mission to serve God and the Church through the youth ministry.

We thank them for saying “yes” to this calling — to lead, to serve, and to be living witnesses of Christ’s love among the youth.

𝐏𝐘𝐂𝐂 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

The Parish Youth Coordinating Council (PYCC) Implementation Committee Elections for the term 2025–2028 were held yesterday at the Birhen sa Guadalupe sa Sugbu Parish social hall. The gathering was graced by the presence of the Vicariate Youth Coordinating Council (VYCC) members, including Ate Joanna Mae Modar, St. Joseph the Patriarch Parish Youth Coordinator and the current Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Vicariate Youth Coordinator.

The following were officially elected as the new PYCC officers:

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 | The Commission on Youth of the Archdiocese of Cebu, through 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 𝟬𝟭, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮, lays down clear guidelines to strengthen the life and mission of the Youth Coordinating Councils.

Ang Parish Youth Coordinating Council (PYCC) Elections ipahigayon karong 𝗔𝗴𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 (Dominggo) sa 𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹.

Gina-awhag ang tanang chapel youth leaders ug tanang kabatan-onang sakop sa atong parokya nga motambong niining mahinungdanong panagtigom. Kini usa ka higayon aron kita makaapil sa pagpili sa bag-ong hugpong sa mga batan-ong lider nga magpadayon sa atong mga kalihokan ug misyon.

𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 | Last July 5–6, 2025, the Birhen sa Guadalupe sa Sugbu Parish Youth Coordinating Council joined the Jubilee of Youth: Adlaw sa Paglaom in the JOYful City of Toledo—an overnight archdiocesan celebration that gathered youth from across the Archdiocese of Cebu for a spirit-filled encounter of faith, mission, and fellowship.

Representing our council during the Archdiocesan Conference of Youth Ministers held simultaneously at PAU Excellencia Global Academy Foundation, Inc. (PEGAFI) were our Parish Youth Coordinator, Maria Yhasmyn Jane Dichos, and Assistant Parish Youth Coordinator-Internal, Angela Joy Nocedo. They joined fellow youth ministers from the Vicariate of Our Lady of Sacred Heart and other youth ministers across the Archdiocese in meaningful discussions that affirmed the vital role of the youth in the life of the Church.

A significant moment during the conference was the State of the Council Address (SOCA) delivered by Kuya Tito Linao Jr., Archdiocesan Youth Coordinator, where he highlighted the milestones and accomplishments of the Commission on Youth Cebu through the Cebu Diocesan Youth Coordinating Council (CDYCC), while also bringing to light the ongoing struggles that challenge and shape the faith journey of today’s youth.

As they returned home on Sunday morning, our parish youth carried with them not only the joy of shared communion, but also a renewed commitment to live out their faith boldly and serve with deeper purpose in the growing mission of the Church.

𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐃𝐀𝐘 2025

The Birhen sa Guadalupe Parish Youth Coordinating Council and Member made an unforgettable mark at the District Youth Day 2025!

The event was held at San Carlos Seminary College, our youth joined fellow pilgrims from District 1, deepening their faith and commitment to serving the Church. It was an incredible experience of fellowship, encountering youth from diverse parishes and building lasting bonds. Through shared activities and inspiring discussions, they strengthened their leadership skills, confidence, and character. The day was filled with moments of growth, laughter, and a shared passion for making a positive impact.

We are incredibly proud of our youth who embraced the theme, "𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏-𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒏: 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒐, 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒉𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒏, 𝒖𝒈 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒚𝒐 𝒔𝒂 𝑺𝒊𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒐" becoming beacons of hope within their communities.
