Another proud moment for the Josenian community!

The University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) successfully hosted the International Project-Based Learning (IPBL) 2026, bringing together delegates from Japan, Taiwan, and Laguna for a week of collaboration, innovation, and cross-cultural learning.

Held at the USJ-R Quadricentennial Campus from August 17–21, 2026, the program featured exciting project-based challenges, including the Autonomous Quadruped Challenge and CONVERGE: A Cross-Culture Game Jam.

This international learning experience gave students the opportunity to innovate, collaborate, create, and connect beyond borders.

Once again, USJ-R proves that Josenian learning goes beyond the classroom and reaches the global stage. Congratulations USJ-R School of Computer Studies - SCS!

🕊️ IN LOVING MEMORY

The People of San Jose joins the family, friends, and loved ones of Besalina “Baby” Varga Pansoy in mourning her passing.

A proud Josenian alumna and Past President of the USJ-R Dramatics Guild Alumni, Baby will be remembered for her meaningful contributions to the Josenian community and the lives she touched through her years of service and involvement.

Her legacy, memories, and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.

CEBU CITY — Josenian swimmer Miguel Sarabosing made waves in three swimming competitions from June to July 2026, collecting 11 medals—two gold, seven silver, and two bronze across various swimming events in Cebu and Bohol.

Sarabosing opened his medal campaign at the Imman Basic Swimming Technique Novice and Developmental Swim Cup 2026, held June 27–28 at the GTNA Recreational Center in Tayud, Liloan, Cebu, where he secured four medals.

He earned silver in the 50-meter backstroke, 50-meter butterfly, and 50-meter freestyle, while adding a bronze in the 100-meter freestyle.

The Josenian swimmer continued his strong showing at the 4th Sandugo sa Bohol Swimfest 2026, held July 18–19 at the Victoriano D. Tirol Center in Tagbilaran City.

Sarabosing dominated the backstroke event with a gold medal in the 50-meter backstroke and added four silver medals in the 100-meter backstroke, 100-meter freestyle, 4×50-meter freestyle relay, and 200-meter freestyle, bringing his haul in the meet to five medals.

He capped his campaign at the PAI ABC Short Course Swim Series 2026, held July 25–26 at Sacred Heart School–Ateneo de Cebu.

Sarabosing captured gold in the 800-meter freestyle and bronze in the 200-meter breaststroke, adding two more medals to his collection.

Across the three competitions, Sarabosing demonstrated versatility by competing in freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke, and relay events, finishing with 11 medals overall.

His three-meet campaign produced two golds, seven silvers, and two bronzes, establishing Sarabosing as one of the Josenian swimmers to watch in the local competitive swimming scene.
