Have you ever felt genuinely happy for someone’s success without feeling jealous? If yes, hooray! That already shows you have the heart of a true leader.

Last Saturday, October 11, 2025, the scholars took another step in learning how to become good-to-great leaders. We continued our discussion on Jim Collins’ book 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁, focusing on Chapter 2, which talks about the Level 5 Hierarchy of Leadership, the Hedgehog Concept, and the Flywheel Effect.

The session began with an interactive question for each scholar: “Give a word that describes a great leader.” Honest, empathic, accountable, and willing to lead were the most common answers. These qualities align with the highest level of leadership, the Level 5 Executive. It teaches us that great leaders build lasting success through humility and strong will. They do not lead for attention or praise but because they want to make a difference. They remain humble yet determined to do what is right, showing that humility and willpower are both essential in moving from good to great.

Aside from humility and willpower, a great leader also understands the importance of the Hedgehog and Flywheel Concepts. The Hedgehog Concept reminds us that we do not need to be good at everything to succeed. Instead, we must focus on the single thing we are best at, something we are passionate about, and continue improving it until we become great. Meanwhile, the Flywheel Concept teaches that success does not happen instantly. It grows through small, consistent steps taken in the same direction. In leadership and in life, this means being patient, staying focused, and trusting that even the smallest progress, when done with purpose, moves us closer to greatness.

Ultimately, this chapter reminds us that true leadership is not about fame or position. It is about staying humble, focused, and doing what is right. When we lead with sincerity and give our best without seeking recognition, that is when we rise above good and become truly great leaders. Because in the journey from good to great, true greatness always begins with humility.

Last Saturday, October 5, 2025, the scholars gathered to discuss Jim Collins’ book 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁. The focus of our discussion was why many companies remain good but never reach true greatness.

The session provided us with many takeaways. We learned that the greatest obstacle to greatness is the comfort of being good. Many organizations fail to take the leap because they settle for what is acceptable instead of striving for excellence. This directly reflects the quote, 'Good is the enemy of great,’ which reminds us that being satisfied with ‘good’ often prevents us from bringing out the best in ourselves. The book also presented case studies of companies that transitioned from being merely good to becoming truly great. It showed that greatness is not determined by luck or circumstance but by conscious choices and calculated effort. In short, if you want to achieve great results, your actions must be proportional to the outcomes you expect.

This lesson also applies to our personal lives. Just as companies can rise above average, we too can aim for growth and improvement by refusing to settle for less and by giving our very best. It is easy to be contented with what is “good enough,” like passing a subject without truly learning, doing a task just to finish it, or meeting only the minimum requirements at work. But when we stop there, we miss the chance to reach our full potential. Even in daily life, when we give our best in relationships, friendships, or personal goals, the impact becomes deeper and longer-lasting. In the end, it shows that small choices and consistent effort add up over time. Greater effort always leads to greater impact, creating meaningful results not just for ourselves but also for the people around us.

Hooray! The 𝐊𝐅𝐅 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is delighted to share the latest updates on our ongoing projects, which have been made possible through the spirit of teamwork, dedication, and compassion. Last Friday, our scholars shared their personal journeys before and during their scholarship experience. This initiative is part of our mission to introduce our current scholars to the community, showing transparency in the lives we are truly supporting. Through their autobiographies, we were able to take a glimpse into their stories, the challenges they have faced and the new opportunities the scholarship has opened for them. In addition, our technical team proudly presented the progress of our official website, which now includes updated information on former scholars from 2001–2015 of the KFF Foundation. We are also publishing the very books that guided and inspired us, making them accessible through our platform. We are excited for you to look forward at it and hoping that it will bring you knowledge like what it brought to us.

None of these achievements would have been possible without the vision of our founder and the unwavering support of our members. With the guidance of Mr. Kenneth and the dedication of every team who poured their effort and time into these tasks, we were able to bring life to what we have started.

Last Saturday, September 20, 2025, marked a day of fresh beginnings as we were introduced to a new book, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗰𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗪-𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝟯𝟲-𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. In today’s fast-moving and competitive world, standing still is no longer an option. This book reminded us of the growing importance of systematically managing organizational initiatives to stay ahead of constant change.
We began by reaffirming a core principle: a project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result. Every project, therefore, is more than a task—it’s a purposeful effort aimed at meaningful impact. Meeting this challenge requires the discipline of project management: the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to achieve specific goals.
We also explored how the most effective projects are those aligned with an organization’s broader objectives. This alignment ensures that time, energy, and resources are focused where they matter most. Our session emphasized the importance of clearly defining the project scope and implementing a detailed plan—structured steps that keep us on track and ensure we deliver real value through intentional change.

Last September 14, 2025, Saturday, we gathered once more to pursue further a project that bears the vision of 𝐊𝐅𝐅 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Each time we gather like this, we are reminded that what we are constructing is not all about outputs, but about growing together as one family.

The meeting was filled with sharing and insights. The editing team unveiled the new logo and the back story, while the narrative team deepened the meaning based on 𝐌𝐫. 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡'𝐬 original definition. The technical team also shared with us the status of the KFF Foundation website, a work in progress that embodies the effort and dedication being invested into it.

For all of us, this session was not so much about updates. It was an opportunity to open new doors, to realize how far we've moved and to dream that the seeds we're planting today can grow into something we can all harvest together down the line.

We were reminded that this project isn't just about one individual. It's about what we can do when all of us contribute our time, ideas, and energy. Each small input counts, and together, they make the vision more powerful.

Thank you to all those who participated and contributed their input. With the effort of everyone, we're getting closer to making this vision of KFF Foundation a reality.

Last Saturday, September 6, 2025, the scholars once again entered the battlefield of knowledge as we finished the final chapter of the book "𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆" with an engaging topic about Battle vs. Game and Finding the Great Teacher.

The session gave us many realizations. Life can often feel like a battle — full of struggles, overwhelming challenges, and fights that leave us unsure if we can win. But the book challenged us to shift our perspective. Instead of seeing life as a battle, see it as a game. A game gives us space to try, to fail, and to try again. It allows us to grow not only for our own progress but also for the betterment of others. With this mindset, the journey becomes lighter, more meaningful, and more enjoyable.

And just like in every game, mentors matter. We can not win alone. Everyone has the potential to be a great teacher regardless of age, background, or beliefs, as long as they help make the path clearer for themselves and others. A good teacher shares knowledge. An effective teacher helps achieve results. But a great teacher does both while inspiring us to stay true to the right path. In a world full of instructors, choose to be a great teacher.

To sum up the whole book, it states that we all have and had choices in life. The book reminds us that money is not only the bills and coins we hold. It is the value we create, from our skills, our experiences, our learnings, and even the relationships we build with people. In the end, the lesson is simple yet powerful: money is more than what we keep in our hands. It is the value we create, the opportunities we see, and the impact we leave on others.

Last Saturday, August 30, 2025, marked a memorable night for the KFF Foundation as we welcomed our new scholars—𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐞 𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐛𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐚, 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐍𝐢ñ𝐨 𝐀. 𝐏𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐬, and 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨 𝐀. 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐠—into our family. We are excited to embark on this journey with you and hope that your experience at KFF is as enjoyable and fulfilling as it has been for those before you. Our evening together was filled with warmth, support, and anticipation for the growth and collaborations ahead.

In addition, our present scholars introduced themselves and our current ongoing project entitled Project X, the foundation’s new website, and information regarding the background and meaning of our logo to give them a bit more background on who we are and what we aim for. It was truly a fruitful night, filled with festering new memories and connection. May our new scholars find their place within us, as we all did.

𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺, 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 “𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬” 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦.

How do we generate money with what we have right now? Is it through spending wisely, investing, or simply using it for entertainment? Money holds value in how we choose to use it. It serves as a tool to make one’s life better. Because of this, money remains a hotly debated topic, and last Saturday, August 23, we had a very transformative discussion about it.

The session, held at the KFF building, was not only enriched by the insights of our teachers but also by the voices of our beloved co-scholars and, most especially, by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡. It was a continuation of our reading from the book 𝑻𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚. The focus was on generating more money, in other words, making money work for us so that it multiplies. It is indeed a tempting subject, because who would not want to generate more wealth? Yet, as emphasized in the discussion, everything must go through a process in order to work.

According to the book:

A person 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚 is someone who knows how to spend it.

A person 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚 is someone who knows how to use it.

A person 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒉 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒘 is someone who knows how to manage it.

A person 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒉 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒘 is someone who knows how to control it.

The key point is that money is subjective. We must not allow money to control us; instead, we must take control of it. Understanding 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰 is essential, especially in business, because it shows how money moves in and out of our resources. It also guides us in becoming more intentional with our spending. After all, we are responsible for the money we have, and every decision we make—good or bad—produces results.

In our discussion, we also addressed the three major leverage points to generate cash flow: (1) 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦’𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺, (2) 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦’𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 (3) 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦’𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦. The reality is that we are not alone in this world. We live differently, and we each have unique abilities, talents, and skills. Imagine having to do everything by yourself without the knowledge or expertise suited for the business you want to build. At some point, you will need the help of others.

For example, in the book industry, an author cannot publish a novel without the help of a publisher. Behind every book are people working together: editors, book designers, and printers who dedicate their time and labor to produce something of value. In this way, everyone involved in the process benefits. This is the power of generating cash flow. It not only helps you build something for yourself but also uplifts the people around you.

As we wrapped up the discussion, we were reminded that money is not just about numbers or profit, it is about responsibility, purpose, and the impact we create with it.

Last August 9, the 𝐊𝐅𝐅 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 gathered together with our very own founder, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡. We convened to discuss the development progress of our official KFF Foundation website. We successfully administered an account for an online payment system, which will not only enhance support for our current and prospective scholars but also align us with the latest technological advancements in the digital financial landscape. This strategic move reflects our commitment to improving our operations and exploring new pathways to advance our mission of providing scholarships.

Furthermore, we initiated the drafting of an explanation of our logo and core values to provide potential scholars with a deeper comprehension of our mission and offerings. By articulating the story behind our logo and outlining our core values, we aim to enhance transparency and foster a stronger connection with our audience, helping prospective scholars align their personal aspirations with our institutional goals and inspiring them to engage deeply with our programs. Although our progress may appear minimal, every step we take is important, as it contributes to our overall journey and brings us closer to our goals.

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟒 opened our eyes to a formula we often overlook in our daily lives. It reminded us that the very things we usually take for granted — our time, our skills, our natural surroundings — are actual resources we can transform into income streams if we only learn to see their value. The book lays out three essential types of resources: 𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓, 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆’𝒔 𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒔. These are not just fancy terms. They're things we already have access to.

If one realizes how to utilize these assets in responsible way, there is a great chance of generating income and possibly multiple streams of incomes. One of our teachers recalled the valuable story of Bruno and Pablo, who had access to the same resources but used very different strategies. In the end, Pablo earned more because he took the time to build a pipeline that brought water into the village efficiently, while Bruno exhausted himself carrying water daily and eventually fell ill. It was a simple but powerful lesson in long-term thinking and sustainable systems.

Above all. the session wasn't about money. It was about mindset. As Sir Kenneth emphasized, “𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦.” For example, when someone decides to start a business, it’s essential to first study its basics to fully understand what you're getting into and how to navigate it with purpose.

We are so much grateful for the lively and insightful discussion. Through this book, we carry with us the deeper understanding that true wealth begins with perspective, intention, and the courage to act. Thank You!

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭!

Last Saturday, we, the KFF scholars together with our very own founder 𝐌𝐫. 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡 discussed the current events on the ongoing project. We are currently in the process of developing and preparing to publish the official KFF Foundation website. While it is still a work in progress, we aim to gradually make sections of the site accessible to the public in the coming weeks.

As part of our preparations, we are working closely across teams to finalize content, streamline media, and ensure the platform reflects the heart and vision of KFF.

Last Saturday, July 19, 2025 was filled with thought-provoking and interactive lessons as the scholars continued exploring the book,"𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡, 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝟏".Here, we talked about how people are born with different seeds (abilities and resources) and the best way to cultivate them.

People are often more focused on creating results without paying attention to the causes that generate them. Instead, we should learn and understand the resources that we have so we can utilize them. Resources are categorized into two: external and internal. External resources, like assets, time, and natural and social resources, are things we can interact with, but we can't inherently change their quantity or value. While we can't increase or alter how much of these resources we have, we can still make the most of them by finding effective ways to utilize them. On the other hand, internal resources such as labor, intellectual, and relational assets are inherent to us. These are resources we possess and can leverage to their fullest potential. It’s best to understand who you are, what you have, and what you want, as this self-awareness helps you nurture your growth and potential.

Amid all the learning, we also took a special moment to celebrate one of ous scholars. Advance Happy Birthday to our dear 𝑴𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒚 𝑻. 𝑩𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒆. It is a sincere honor to have you as one of our scholars, you journey and presence are a beautiful reminder that growth takes time, effort, and heart.
