Meet the Ensemble

The GFPI Guitar Ensemble serves as the principal performing group of the Guitar Foundation of the Philippines. Bringing together guitarists from various generations—from pioneering members to its current roster—the ensemble reflects the Foundation’s rich legacy and ongoing commitment to excellence in classical guitar performance.

Currently under the artistic direction and mentorship of Mr. Anton Solomon, President of GFPI, the ensemble is composed of talented students and alumni from the AB Music Department of the University of Southern Philippines.

Current members include:
Psalm David Abella, Neil Patrick Turan, CJ Espiga, Liam Gil Castigon, and Edrian Prosia.

𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝘼𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩í𝙣 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖-Á𝙫𝙞𝙡𝙖

𝘼𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩í𝙣 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖-Á𝙫𝙞𝙡𝙖 is a renowned composer, guitarist, improviser, graphic artist, author, and artistic researcher from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. He was the first guitarist to receive a Fundación La Caixa-British Council scholarship and earned his master’s degrees at the London College of Music under Carlos Bonell. He became the youngest guitar professor at the Conservatorio Profesional de Ceuta and currently serves as the vice president of Austria’s Microtonal Music Society. His diverse works include solo, chamber, orchestral, theatrical, and choreographic compositions, including five chamber operas.
