Coming together in times of need. ❤️
When a fire recently displaced several Bajau students from Cebu City Don Carlos A. Gothong Memorial National High School (CCDCA-GMNHS), the community stepped up—proving that in difficult times, kindness and generosity shine the brightest.
Led by GS Foundation, and with the incredible support of the school’s admin team, alumni, teachers, and students, we came together to extend help to those affected. Through this initiative, we provided essential food and clothing packages, ensuring that families had the necessities to get through this tough time. Each relief pack included rice, canned goods, noodles, soy sauce, vinegar, cooking oil, and Milo, offering warmth and sustenance to those in need.
A total of 46 students received these carefully prepared packages, their smiles reminding us why community-driven efforts matter. But the kindness didn’t stop there—additional donations poured in from various groups and individuals, including clothing and school supplies from the Supreme Student Government (SSLG), school supplies from the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA), and cash contributions from alumni and teachers.
This relief operation was a powerful reminder that when we come together, we can make a real difference. To everyone who shared their time, effort, and resources—thank you! Your generosity is a beacon of hope for these students and their families.
