As the storm moves across the country, weβre reminded that care should extend beyond our own homes. Many stray animals have no shelter, no food, and no one looking out for themβexcept maybe us.
If you have the capacity, here are some simple, doable ways to help them ngayong tag-ulan:
πΎ Check your cars dahil many cats seek warmth sa ilalim ng kotse kadalasan tuwing tag-ulan
π§Ί Maglagay ng dry box or lumang container big enough in a quiet corner na may bubong to offer them a simple shelter
π§οΈ Leave some food and malinis na tubig in safe areas dahil bihira silang makahanap nito lalo na pag baha o malakas ang ulan
πͺ Kung kaya, buksan ng bahagya ang gate o garage dahil your space could be their safe space kahit pansamantala lang
π± Reach out to animal welfare groups or LGUs kapag may stray na hirap na hirap na pero hindi mo kayang alagaan directly
