Another meaningful impact activity accomplished!
JCI Cebu proudly joined JCI Iloilo Ilang Ilang in their project, “Planting Seeds of Joy: A Gift-Giving Activity and Planting of Mangrove Propagules,” held at Brgy. Hinacatan, La Paz, Iloilo City on December 14, 2025.

Through this collaborative effort, we helped bring smiles to the community with a heartfelt gift-giving activity, while also supporting environmental stewardship by planting mangrove propagules—nurturing both the people and the planet.

𝗝𝗖𝗜 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟮 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆

DANAO CITY – The installation of kits for Project Berde Phase 2 in Barangay Poblacion is now successfully completed. Spearheaded by Project Chair Jay Alegarbes, this initiative continues JCI Cebu’s commitment to building greener and more sustainable communities.

This milestone was made possible through a strong partnership with SK Poblacion, whose support and collaboration were key in bringing this project to life. Together, we are making Barangay Poblacion a model for eco-conscious and resilient neighborhoods.

𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀

Anime fans filled the cinema during the exclusive opening day screening of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle at JMall Cinemas, Mandaue City on August 20, 2025. The highly anticipated premiere brought together a full house of anime enthusiasts who cheered on the intense fight scenes while sharing in a night of fun and fellowship.

The event, held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, was spearheaded by JCI Cebu’s Business Development Team as part of its initiatives to merge entertainment with meaningful impact. More than just a movie screening, it was organized as a fundraiser to support programs that aim to cultivate young business leaders. Every ticket purchased became a contribution to projects designed to inspire growth, leadership, and community development.

JCI Cebu emphasized that the initiative reflects the Business Development Team’s mission to generate innovative avenues for supporting future leaders. By tying a blockbuster anime premiere to a fundraising drive, the team demonstrated how culture and community spirit can come together to fuel a greater future.

𝗝𝗖𝗜 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗜 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆𝘀

JCI Cebu partnered with Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) on August 16 for an initial immersion in three barangays of Alcantara, Cebu. The visit was not about implementing projects but about listening to the realities of local leaders, residents, and health workers on urban farming, animal welfare, mental health, and livelihood.

The activity was spearheaded by the Community Development team and served as the first step in building meaningful and sustainable impact. The initiative highlights the importance of listening before taking action.

JCI Cebu expressed excitement for the next phase as the insights gathered from the immersion will guide future projects and programs for the communities.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 & 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂’𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀

JCI Cebu launched Project Hearts & Soles, a sports and community initiative that transformed passion into purpose. Athlete-members who recently conquered marathons, triathlons, and HYROX this year rallied their peers to donate pre-loved shoes, including running, gym, trek, and CrossFit pairs.

Each pair was cleaned, carefully packed, and given to 19 student-athletes under Coach Arvin Loberanis across Cebu. For these young dreamers, the shoes carried more than soles. They carried stories of resilience and inspiration.

“From one athlete to another, keep moving, keep chasing dreams,” shared JCI Cebu 2025 Vice President for Community Development Nel Luceno, who supported the project.

JCI Cebu extends huge thanks to its excellent partners who made this initiative possible. Darma's GiftDash packed the shoes into bags, Shoe Crew Cebu took charge of cleaning and freshening up the kicks, and Monde kept the athletes fueled with Monde Chocolate Milk. Their contributions helped ensure that every donated pair reached its new owner with care and encouragement.

The chapter also expresses gratitude to Adrian Tan and Gerome Diaz for spearheading this meaningful initiative. Together, the organization continues to build better communities, one stride at a time.
