Welcome to the Cooking Video Contest entries for this year’s celebration of Nutrition and Breastfeeding Month!

Our theme, ‘Food Connects Us: Healthy, Affordable Recipes That Bring Families Together’, celebrates the power of food not just to nourish, but to unite. These videos showcase creative, budget-friendly dishes that promote good health and strengthen family bonds.

We look forward to honoring the winning entries during our culmination activity on August 17, 2025, 10:00 AM, at Robinsons Galleria Cebu.

Eight days to go and it's your time to shine, mommies!
Join us in this milestone and create core memories for yourself and your family. Be part of the first Latch O' Love and breastfeed together with other mothers from all over Cebu province, Bohol and Dumaguete.

Interested in donating your liquid gold? VSMMC Human Milk Bank Unit will not only have a short talk but also a pop-up kiosk for your inquiries and initial screening (You may bring your expressed milk and lab results of HIV test, syphilis and hepatitis tests IF AVAILABLE).

You won't go home empty-handed as we have many surprises in store for you!

And if you come early (8AM) you get these freebies before the crowd arrives!

Booths open by 8AM during Registration and will close by 9:00AM to ensure a smooth flow of the program. (Don't worry, booths resume at 11AM).

As with the yearly tradition, we had our Interhospital Quiz Bowl participated in by ten hospitals under PPS CV:

And the most awaited: Best Hospital Practices Supporting Breastfeeding Infomercial Contest announcement of winners!

Our five esteemed judges include artistic pediatricians and our distinguished nutritionists: Dr Laddy Go (Past PPS CV President), Dr Steven Seno (member of PPS CV Board of Directors), Dr Glinda del Prado (Pediatrician and Photographer), and here in the picture Dr Parolita Mission (National Nutrition Council Region 7 Coordinator) and Ms Justinne Go (Philippine Association of Nutrition Cebu Chapter President). Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to take part in our Culminating Activity!

Criteria for Judging are the following:

SUMC’s video will be circulated in PPS CV institutions to showcase their Best Hospital Practices supporting Breastfeeding.

Each winning institution received a Plaque and Cash Prize.

First part of the afternoon program was the testimonials from breastfeeding parents from Cebu, Bohol, and Dumaguete, followed by the yearly Latch Go, with Growing Baby, Bohol and Dumaguete, and the launching of PPS CV’s own Latch O’ Love.

Cebu had a total of 22 mother-baby dyads, Growing Baby 11, Bohol with 140!!! And Dumaguete with 20

Technical difficulties did not deter us as we continued with the Talk Show + open forum with our IBCLC’s Dr Marini Esguerra of Cebu and Ms Janice Aton of Bohol. There were questions from the audience; a few tears shed, lots of laughter shared.

Has it been so quiet?

We were just busy preparing for this special something for everyone!

This month will not be complete without the Culminating Activity for the Breastfeeding Month from the Philippine Pediatric Society Central Visayas Chapter.

Join us as we celebrate our breastfeeding advocacy with fun and learning!

Bazaaar with booths for moms and babies open at 9am. Program proper starts at 1pm.

We will be having a forum with two esteemed IBCLC’s (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants) Dr Titadocmom Pediatrics and Lactation: Dr Marini T Esguerra and Ms. Janice Aton of Bohol, followed by the yearly Latch Go in cooperation with Growing Baby Classes.

PPS CV’s own Simultaneous Latching™️, and the Infomercial Contest for Best Practices Supporting Breastfeeding will be launched.
