UC CARES - Banilad proudly congratulates 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗬𝗮𝘂𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮. 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹 𝗔. 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻 for earning the 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 during the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗣𝗔𝗘𝗣𝗜 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 held at Cebu Technological University - Main Campus.

Their award-winning project, “𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗞𝗔𝗛𝗔: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆,” highlights the dedication of UC CARES in empowering partner communities through livelihood development, culinary training, sustainability initiatives, and community engagement.

This achievement reflects the university’s continuous commitment to fostering inclusive growth, knowledge-sharing, and transformative extension services that create meaningful impact beyond the classroom.

𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗨𝗠𝗣𝗛: 𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗠𝗧-𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗡𝗜 𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗥𝗠𝗧𝘀!

After years of service to UCCMT-CARES, Shaenna Lyn C. Go, RMT, Yannie S. Huerte, RMT, Reyan Raven J. Macasero, RMT, Trisha Bonita T. Restauro, RMT, andRonelyn S. Villena, RMT are now fully-fledged Registered Medical Technologists (RMTs) following their successful completion of the March 2026 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination (MTLE). Their journey continues into the profession, carrying forward the same dedication and steadily striving for excellence.

It is, indeed, becoming a habit — one shaped even through years of volunteerism.

The organization celebrates this milestone with pride, knowing that once a leader, always an inspiration.

Karong umaabot nga May 15, magpahigayon ang University of Cebu (UC) Banilad Campus, pinaagi sa Community Awareness, Relation, and Extension Services (UC CARES) og orientation para sa IBM SkillsBuild training.

Kining skills training, nagtumong nga magtudlo sa mga Out-of-School Youth (OSYs) ug Stay-At-Home Mothers og digital literacy and upskilling. Ang mga matiwas niini, mahatagan og certification sa UC, aron mas matabangan sila sa pagpadayon sa ilang edukasyon ug/o sa pagpangita og dugang trabaho.

𝐔𝐂 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐒, 𝐉𝐂𝐈 𝐖𝐨𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐮𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐤 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 ✨

The 𝗨𝗖 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦 - 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗱 formalized a strategic partnership with JCI WoMandaue through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held on 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at the 𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺. The agreement signifies a strengthened alliance between the academe and a civic organization, aimed at advancing community engagement, leadership development, and service-driven initiatives for the benefit of both students and the broader public.

Leading the UC Banilad delegation was 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗚. 𝗠𝗮ñ𝗮, Campus Director, alongside 𝗠𝗿. 𝗖𝘆𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘇, Associate CAD for Administrative Affairs; 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗠. 𝗬𝗮𝘂𝗻, UC CARES Director; 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗳𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗟𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘀, UC CARES Non-Teaching Coordinator; and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗼, UC CARES Staff. Representing JCI WoMandaue were 𝗠𝘀. 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝗶𝘇𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗶 𝗠. 𝗜𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻 , President; 𝗠𝘀. By bridging academic resources with civic leadership, the partnership is expected to create impactful opportunities that cultivate socially responsible individuals and future leaders.

This initiative underscores UC Banilad CARES’ continued commitment to extending its reach beyond the campus, reinforcing its role as a catalyst for positive change through meaningful partnerships grounded in service, unity, and excellence.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐔𝐂 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐒 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚✨

The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 - 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗱 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦 has also reached out to support those affected by the fire incident last 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗘𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮, 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Extra donations we received from our previous relief efforts have likewise reached the fire victims in Ermita. Through the generosity of our partners, 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗙 and 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀–𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 were distributed to the affected families, ensuring that essential needs were met during this difficult time.

We sincerely thank these donors for their compassion and solidarity, which continue to strengthen UC CARES’ mission of service to the community. 💙💛

The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 - 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗱 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦 has officially completed its relief distribution for students, staff, and faculty affected by the twin fire incident last 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲, 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻, 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆.
