Many knew Ronnie Pedoche as โChristmas Treeโ around the streets of Mambaling, walking barefoot, covered in decorations, surviving through the kindness and attention of strangers.
But behind what many saw as entertainment was a painful reality. Hunger drove him to search through garbage bins for food, while dirty puddles became his source of water.
Thankfully, compassionate individuals chose not to ignore his situation and helped bring him to Safehaven Recovery Village.
After six months of care, patience, and support, Ronnie is now ready to begin a new chapter. Today, he was reunited with his mother and given another chance at life, a reminder that no one is ever too far gone to be reached by love, compassion, and hope.
At Safehaven and BAI Foundation, we continue to believe this truth with all our hearts: Nobody is beyond help. Nobody is hopeless.
Special thanks to everyone who became part of Ronnieโs journey toward healing and reintegration.
