1. The BSP- Cebu Council will be holding the 1st Catholic Scout Camp 2026 on 21โ€“24 May 2026 at the University of San Joseโ€“Recoletos, Basak Campus, Cebu City, with the theme: โ€œHearts on Fire: Renewed and Sentโ€.

2. The Catholic Scout Camp is a four-day spiritual and leadership formation initiative designed to gather Scouts from various schools and institutions in Cebu Province for a meaningful experience rooted in faith, discipline, brotherhood, outdoor learning, and service.

3. In celebration of the liturgical season leading to Pentecost, this camp aims to form young people as Spirit-filled leaders who embody the ideals of Scouting and the values of Catholic education. It seeks to promote moral integrity, peace-building, responsible citizenship, and servant leadership among the youth.

4. Specifically, the camp seeks to:
1. Deepen the spiritual formation of participants through prayer, liturgical celebrations, Marian devotion, Eucharistic encounters, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, in harmony with the Archdioceseโ€™s ongoing preparation for the 2034 Centenary Celebration of its elevation as an Archdiocese;
2. Strengthen the practice of the Scout Oath and Law through discipline, teamwork, outdoor skills, and community life;
3. Develop leadership competencies and resilience through patrol-based activities and experiential learning;
4. Promote peace, unity, and ethical citizenship in response to current social realities; and
5. Commission Scouts to become active leaders and agents of service in their schools, parishes, and communities.

5. The program shall include, among others, the following major activities:
1. Opening Ceremonies and Camp Formation

7. Participation Ratio. Aligned with WOSMโ€™s and BSPโ€™s participation ratio standard, a 1:9 (1 adult leader for every nine scouts) is to be strictly followed.

8. Registration Fee. A registration fee of Php 1,000.00 shall be charged per participant to cover program materials, camp operations, event patch, identification materials, certificates, and other administrative expenses.

9. Registration Details. Interested schools and units shall submit their official list of participants through their respective districts / coordinating offices on or before May 16, 2026 (2200H). 13. Scout Camps. In consideration of rising costs and in the spirit of sustainability, the construction of full camp structures for this event is encouraged but not mandatory. Participating contingents shall only be required to establish a perimeter fence and a designated altar area. A simple camp gate reflecting unit or institutional identity is likewise encouraged; however, the organizers seek to minimize additional financial burden on participants and therefore will not require elaborate camp constructions.

Each contingent manages their respective kitchens, mess, and commissaries. The school canteen will be open in the duration of the camp from 5:30 AM โ€“ 10:00 PM and the organizers shall ensure that products are reasonably priced.

15. All districts, schools, and institutions are encouraged to ensure maximum participation in this historic and first-of-its-kind Catholic Scouting gathering in Cebu.

16. For inquiries and coordination, you may contact Mr. Eduardo Empelis, Jr., CCCC โ€“ Chairman at 0991-359-8901 or via email at [email protected]. You may also visit the event website at https://bit.ly/catholicscoutcamp for more details.
