The JPSS Commission on Elections invites all qualified first-year Josenians to prepare for the filing of their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) and take the first step toward becoming a student leader committed to 𝔰𝔢𝔯𝔳𝔦𝔠𝔢, 𝔦𝔫𝔱𝔢𝔤𝔯𝔦𝔱𝔶, 𝔞𝔫𝔡 𝔢𝔵𝔠𝔢𝔩𝔩𝔢𝔫𝔠𝔢.

Aspiring candidates are required to prepare the following:
✅ Official Study Load�
✅ Two (2) to Three (3) Social Media Platforms

🗓️ Filing of Certificate of Candidacy (COC):�August 11–13, 2026

As we commemorate the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, we honor the identities, cultures, languages, knowledge, and ways of life of Indigenous Peoples that continue to enrich the world we share.

To stand with Indigenous Peoples is therefore not simply to appreciate their traditions. It is to listen to what they have to say about their own communities, respect their right to make decisions for themselves, and recognize their place in shaping the future.

Their languages deserve to be spoken. Their knowledge deserves to be respected. Their voices deserve to be heard—not only when the world chooses to celebrate them, but whenever decisions affect their lives, communities, and lands.

May we move beyond simply knowing about Indigenous Peoples and learn to stand beside them with respect for who they are.

We stand with Indigenous Peoples—not just today, but every day.
