When the ground literally shakes your plans.. do you stop or do you remember your Purpose?

Today April 6 2026, One Blue Pearl Toastmasters Club conducted their 105th club meeting, with the theme "Back to Purpose".

In the middle of Table Topics session with the quote "Hawak kamay, di kita iiwan sa pag lakbay" its not only the nerve that shakes but literally the ground shakes, yet our Purpose here in Toastmasters was stronger than the 5.5 Magnitude earth quake, we look at each other and calmly said its okay we are all insured.

As the given quote suggested we went down together from the 11th floor going out the building.

But heres the twist!

We didn't end the meeting
We changed the Venue.

This is a masterclass in public speaking, why not do it in Public... we find oursleves having a meeting outside a coffee shop near a mall entrance, we continued, laughing a little louder, speaking a little prouder, and connecting a little deeper. Because when your purpose is stronger , even the ground beneath you can't shake it.

Reselience isn't just a word we say in speeches - its a story we live.
Exuberant isn't just energy- its choosing joy in the middle of dusruption

CONGRATULATIONS to our 1st timer TMOD Raynan S. Roflo Aman for accepting the challenge pre and post earthquake--indeed his commitment to push through despite his fear and doubts brought inspiration to all of us🫶🌻🌸👏

To all the OBP Toastmasters, Thank you for saying yes in finishing the race-you are all amazing👏👏👏

And to our General Evaluator Niño Mike D. Torrevillas who was all in the game with us. You truly embodied a Toastmaster's heart to fully commit and serve no matter the circumstance😍

PURPOSE is what makes us continue... even when it would've been easier to just go home.
