Following the recent eruption of Mt. Kanlaon, ashfall has been reported in affected areas. Fine volcanic ash can pose serious risks to your health, reduce visibility, and disrupt transportation.

Protect yourself and your loved ones by following these safety reminders:

🏠 Stay indoors whenever possible.
😷 Wear a well-fitting face mask (preferably N95) and protective eyewear when going outside.
🚪 Keep doors and windows closed to prevent ash from entering your home.
🥫 Cover food and water containers to keep them free from ash contamination.
🚗 Avoid unnecessary travel. If you must drive, proceed slowly and keep your headlights on.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Keep children, older adults, and individuals with respiratory conditions indoors.
🧹 Clean ash using a damp method to avoid creating dust.
🎒 Prepare an emergency go-bag and monitor official updates.

Protect your health:
💨 Wear a mask to avoid inhaling volcanic ash.
🤧 Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing.
💧 Drink plenty of clean water.
👁️ Avoid rubbing your eyes or washing them with ash-contaminated water.
