πŸ‘€ here!

Our environment protect us and help in our development as individuals. Saving the environment is critical for long term survival since without it, none of us would live.

There are several strategies to protect the natural environment. We must protect our environment because there is a lack of fresh air, and oxygen will be dangerous to humans. Humans will soon be in serious danger if we do not take care of our planet. To begin, we must take modest measures to protect and renew our ecosystem. Change happens when we take action and volunteer to help. 🌍

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’Ό Jose Bernardo B. Gochoco III is a project officer at ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability in NCR region which oversees the implementation of various climate change mitigation projects.

He claims that to build a safer home for us, our children, and our children's children, we need to get involved in preserving our nature because safety is not made, it is built. We need to work together and do our part as citizens of Earth! 🌳🌏

🌏 Are we one step closer to making a change? 🌏

Knowing that Southeast Asia will be heavily affected by climate change, mitigation efforts have been made.

ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project (ACCEPT) is a project which focuses on developing climate-friendly policies on the energy sector. This project actively aims to build a sustainable low-carbon future for Southeast Asia. 🌳

Just recently, they held a platform discussing Innovation to Accelerate the Energy Transition in ASEAN. More effort is needed to accelerate the energy transition in the region, but this is a great starting point!

It takes courage to stand up for something. It takes dedication to start a change. Although not great in numbers, the founding members uphold the highest regard on the mitigation and awareness of climate change in Southeast Asia.

They believe that it starts a few to make something big happen. Hence, they advocate themselves to safeguard a green ASEAN. And commit themselves that every state in Southeast Asia be aware of the alarming rate of climate change in the region.

With a motto "The climate is changing, so should we," this page presents the core founders of The Green Movement for ASEAN!

Everybody knows the 3 R's, but have we been practicing it lately? ♻️

The solution to climate change relies solely on how we treat the environment. While we can't simply fix this problem overnight, a simple act of opting for reusable cups and cutlery could go a long way in saving our planet!

We don't want another Typhoon Ulysses to hit us or a Tropical Storm Linfa to emerge, so let us change our ways and start now! β›ˆοΈβš‘

Climate change has a huge impact all over the world. It is an intensifying natural disaster and can’t be avoided yet, through man-made activities, it further amplifies the greenhouse effect. However, South Asia is the most vulnerable to climate change.

As human beings,

"We are responsible to take care our environment and encourage one another to help adapt and mitigate for our environment’s future. "

Southeast Asia is one of Earth's most vulnerable regions to climate change. As it is also the place where more people reside in coastal cities, this makes them more susceptible to severe weather conditions and rising sea levels. That is enough reason for us to do some actions. We adhere the signs and should not wait for the worst.

We. Should. Act. Now! πŸ“£πŸŒ

Climate change affects all over the world. Cities are the most vulnerable to climate change and Asia is the most affected by this. The effects of climate change can already be observed in most Asian cities with the rising of sea levels, biodiversity loss, and increasing temperatures. The video below depicts how important the communication, planning, and simple human actions to help and cope the environmental crisis.
