When Families and Schools Unite: Building a Safer Future for Every Child 🤝

Students and parents joined the Prevention Caravan in Sta. Peregrina High School, Pulilan, Bulacan, to come together to learn more about child protection and online safety.

The activity opened meaningful conversations about the challenges children face today and the role that parents, schools, and communities play in keeping them safe. With students and parents learning side by side, the session became a reminder that protecting children starts with awareness, open communication, and working together.

More than just a learning activity, the Prevention Caravan encouraged everyone present to take an active part in creating a safe and supportive environment where children can grow with confidence and feel valued.

Because when families and schools stand together, children are safer, stronger, and better supported.🌟

Three Cities, One Mission: Championing Justice for Children

The Justice Zone Meeting, held on July 7–9, 2026 at the Summit Hotel in Tacloban City, brought together representatives from the Justice Zones of Calbayog City, Ormoc City, and Tacloban City to strengthen collaborative efforts in child protection and justice sector engagement.

A key focus of the meeting was the growing concern over cases of Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) across the three cities. Participants discussed the critical role of Justice Zones in enhancing coordinated responses, with particular emphasis on prevention initiatives, victim support, and reintegration programs for affected children and families.

Representing World Hope International-Philippines (WHI), Social Worker Glaiza Torres presented the organization's child protection programs and services. She also highlighted opportunities for deeper collaboration among stakeholders, reinforcing the importance of a unified and multidisciplinary approach in addressing child exploitation and ensuring long-term support for survivors.

Through reinforced partnerships and shared commitment, stakeholders continue to work toward building safer communities where every child is protected, supported, and empowered to thrive. 💛

The Power of Collaboration in Building Safer Communities 🤝

World Hope International–Philippines was honored to participate in the 2nd Quarter Inter-Agency Committee Meeting, where government agencies and partner organizations came together to share updates, celebrate milestones, and discuss efforts to strengthen child protection, anti-trafficking, and violence against women and children initiatives.

We are grateful for the opportunity to highlight our recovery and reintegration efforts for survivors of OSAEC, along with other initiatives that continue to strengthen care and partnerships across the region.

Collaboration remains at the heart of creating safer communities. Together, we can achieve more for every child and every family. 💛

Strengthening Communities for Child Safety and Digital Responsibility

The Responsible Behavior with Younger Children (RBYC) Project Orientation in Rosauro R. Tangson Sr. National High School, Baler, Aurora, brought together students, parents, and educators to take an important step: to learn about the importance of online safety, child protection, and responsible digital behavior.

The orientation provided an opportunity to discuss the realities of online child exploitation, the role of schools and families in prevention, and the shared responsibility of creating safe and supportive environments where young people can thrive. It marked the beginning of a collaborative effort to equip students with the knowledge and skills to recognize risks, seek support, and stay safe online.

Because when awareness leads to action, protection becomes possible. 💛🤝

As we conclude HILOM, we extend our sincere gratitude to our speakers, facilitators, and participants for making this journey meaningful and inspiring.

We are especially grateful to our colleagues/friends from World Hope International - Cambodia who traveled to the Philippines to learn alongside us. Thank you for being part of this shared journey and for reminding us that healing, protection, and hope know no borders. 🌎🤝

May the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained throughout these sessions continue to guide us as we support children and survivors with compassion, patience, and hope.

Planning for Communities of Hope continued on Day 2 💛
Because building stronger communities takes time, one day of planning simply isn’t enough.

Today, Wesleyan pastors and community leaders from BMAI and AGAY continued working together to identify priorities, strengthen community plans, and build a shared vision for children, families, and communities. 🤝

Creating lasting change means planning thoughtfully, listening intentionally, and making time for what matters most.

Healing is not about forgetting what happened, but about creating safe spaces where stories can be heard, emotions can be understood, and recovery can begin. 💛

Day 3 of HILOM focused on one of the most important parts of the healing journey: trauma processing.

Through sessions on psychoeducation, trauma narratives, and trauma processing, participants explored important approaches that help children and survivors understand, process, and make sense of their experiences.

As we continue strengthening trauma-informed care, we remain committed to walking alongside children and survivors with compassion, patience, and hope. 💛

Building hope starts with the community. 💛

Today, Wesleyan pastors and community leaders from BMAI and AGAY gathered in Manila for our Communities of Hope Planning Workshop Day 1.

Formerly known as our Sponsored Children project, Communities of Hope reflects a deeper commitment, not only to support children, but also to work alongside families, churches, and communities to create lasting change.

Today, we kicked off the workshop through a program orientation, Child Protection Policy orientation, and the introduction of the first planning tool that will help guide their community plans and priorities.

Indeed, a productive day for the team.
