WORLD YOUTH DAY 2027 OFFICIAL THEME SONG (Classic Ver.)

WATCH: The official theme song for World Youth Day Seoul 2027 has been released.

Titled Confidite, Ego Vici Mundum ("Take Courage! I Have Overcome the World"), the hymn was chosen from 434 submissions and composed by Korean musician Francis Jiyoon Kim. Inspired by John 16:33, the song echoes the official theme of World Youth Day Seoul 2027: "Take courage! I have overcome the world."

The release marks the official one-year countdown to World Youth Day, which will gather young Catholics from around the world in Seoul, South Korea, from Aug. 3–8, 2027.

📢 REGISTRATION IS EXTENDED🤩

As we continue our journey toward Vicariate Youth Day 2026, we are reminded that every step we take in faith is an invitation to trust in Christ with courage.

With this spirit, the registration period has been extended until July 31, 2026, giving participating parishes more time to prepare and complete their registration requirements.

Please take note of the following guidelines:
1️⃣ All Individual Registration Forms (IRFs) must be completely accomplished and duly signed.
2️⃣ Each IRF must be saved in PDF format and follow the prescribed filename format.
3️⃣ IRFs must be uploaded individually for each delegate.
4️⃣ The designated Delegation Head of each parish shall be responsible for consolidating, organizing, and submitting the Individual Registration Forms (IRFs) of all delegates from their parish.
5️⃣ All requirements must be submitted on or before the prescribed deadline.

Viva, La Virgen!

KITA-KITA TA SA GRAND CORONADA PROCESSION MGA KATOOD!

This afternoon, we will hold the Grand Coronada Procession at the Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe de Cebu as part of the celebration commemorating the 124th anniversary of the Blessed Virgin Mary's intercession during the 1902 cholera outbreak, when many lives were lost.

A highlight of the celebration is the solemn procession of canonically and episcopally crowned Marian images from various parts of the country. This year's celebration is especially significant as the Our Lady of Peñafrancia from the Bicol Region is visiting Cebu. The image comes from the region that hosted the National Youth Day (NYD) 2025, drawing many young Cebuanos.

With hearts united in prayer and song, we gathered for a meaningful Taizé Prayer Night, embracing silence, reflection, and the loving presence of Christ. Through simple chants and moments of contemplation, we strengthened our faith and found peace in God's embrace.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in this beautiful evening of devotion. May the spirit of prayer continue to guide our hearts and inspire us to live as instruments of God's love and peace.

To conclude the parish recruitment day, we are inviting everyone, especially the young people to pray with us in a way of Taize. Our Taize Prayer will commence at exactly 7:30 PM. This is one of the best ways to slow down, meditate, and be in communion with Christ.
