In a meaningful initiative for sustainable growth, the Philippine Army collaborated with OMMRO for the distribution of hundreds of ube seedlings to the community of Limasawa. This effort aims to support the island’s transition toward organic agriculture, promoting food security and environmental preservation.

Through collaboration and education, this initiative reflects a deeper commitment to National Security not only in defense, but in empowering communities and strengthening livelihoods.

Go for Nation Building.

DAY 04
Music for the Environment and Nation Development 🌱🎶

IN PHOTO: Contouring and Swaling – Landscape

Today’s activity in the SUGAT Creative Eco-Festival focused on understanding and intervening in the natural flow of the land through contour and swaling. Participants explored how the earth rises and falls. Its curves, slopes, and elevations forming a quiet rhythm that reflects the beauty and strength of nature. Through this, the landscape became more than just scenery; it became a source of regenration, inspiration for creativity and awareness.

In the afternoon, the learning continued through a workshop where young artists translated their observations into meaningful expressions. Using Visual Arts, Dance, Choir, Guitar, Violin, and Drum & Lyre, they turned the patterns of the land into movements, sounds, and stories—bringing the environment to life through art.

As evening came, Under the evening skies a lights offered to and war for peace to rain - MEND simple way of showing one mess with communities raveged by violence and greed.

Word of the Day: Swaling
It is the practice of making swales or canals along the contour that are designed to catch the water as high as possible, spread it as wide as possible and sink it as deep as possible. This is the zone where regeneration starts in a landscape.

Day 3

Music for the Environment and Nation Development 🌱🎶

As part of the SUGAT Creative Eco-Festival, today’s activity embraced a meaningful and reflective journey. A silent walk, allowing participants to reconnect with nature and truly get to know the soil beneath their feet. From this quiet experience, stories were born and transformed into expressions of music and art, highlighting the deep connection between the environment and creative imagination.

Through the collaborative efforts of our young artists in Visual Arts, Dance, Choir, Guitar, Violin, and Drum & Lyre, each step taken became a rhythm, each observation a melody, and each moment a powerful reminder of our role in nurturing the Earth.

Word of the Day: “Regeneration”The process of renewal, restoration, and growth. Today, we witnessed how creativity can inspire regeneration not only in nature, but within ourselves and our community.

SUGAT CREATIVE ECO - FESTIVAL 2026 “Regeneration Through Music and the Arts”

Today’s meeting was more than just planning. It was a reminder of how music can inspire action, unity, and purpose. As we prepare for the upcoming SUGAT Festival, every note we play carries a deeper meaning: a call to care for our environment and contribute to the growth of our nation.

From sharing ideas to aligning our goals, this gathering brought together passion and dedication. We believe that through music, we can raise awareness, uplift communities, and spark positive change. Each rehearsal, each discussion, and each effort is a step closer to creating something meaningful not just for the festival, but for the people and the place we serve.

Limasawa Island, with its rich history and natural beauty, deserves to be celebrated and protected. Being here reminds us why we do what we do. To honor culture, promote sustainability, and strengthen our connection as one community. As we continue preparing, we carry with us the spirit of collaboration, creativity, and commitment. This is more than a performance, it’s a mission.
