There was a time when I was always available, always helping, always showing up. And slowly people stopped appreciating it and started expecting it. I remember thinking, how does being kind get taken for granted? Then someone told me something I will never forget.
People do not value what is always available. They value what has boundaries. And that changed me. I stopped over giving. I stopped exhausting myself trying to be everything for everyone.
