Barili, Cebu — The 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. (FSG–CTU, Inc.) conducted a two-day Strategic Planning session from January 31 to February 1, 2026, at CTU–Barili Campus. The activity served as a venue to assess accomplishments, address challenges, and craft strategic plans aimed at further improving student governance, organizational efficiency, and university-wide initiatives.

The Subang–CTU Chapter President was also present to strengthen partnerships and support ongoing and future initiatives in sustainable development and student-led projects with FSG. The session was presided over by Student Regent Kathlyn L. Baclayan, where officers reviewed previous accomplishments, evaluated areas for improvement, and developed actionable strategies to ensure effective governance and to set clear goals for the academic year.

The successful completion of the Strategic Planning session highlights FSG–CTU, Inc.’s commitment to fostering structured leadership, promoting organizational development, and implementing sustainable programs that enhance student engagement and advance institutional progress.

The Federation of Student Governments – Cebu Technological University, Inc. (FSG–CTU, Inc.), headed by Student Regent Kathlyn L. Baclayon, paid a courtesy visit to the Officer-in-Charge University President, Vice President for Research and Development, and Subang Philippines Adviser, Dr. Pet Roey L. Pascual, on January 31, 2026, at Cebu Technological University–Barili Campus.

Barili, Cebu — On January 31, 2026, the Federation of Student Governments–Cebu Technological University, Inc. (FSG–CTU, Inc.), in partnership with the Subang–CTU Chapter, joined forces to successfully conduct a River Clean-up Drive at the Cebu Technological University–Barili Campus. Surrounded by the campus’s natural landscape, the activity aimed to promote environmental responsibility and strengthen youth participation in environmental conservation efforts.

The initiative was led by Peter John C. Enorio, President of Subang Philippines, with the support of Dennis B. Bendulo, Subang Human Resources Officer, and Shaina Faith D. Visorro, President of the Subang–CTU Chapter, together with Miles Wilven Ayuban, Subang Volunteer, and Rod Santiago Lebumfacil Jr., Volunteer Intern. Officers of the FSG–CTU, Inc. and Subang–CTU volunteers joined forces in the clean-up activity, demonstrating their shared commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable campus initiatives.

Through coordinated efforts, participants removed waste materials along the riverbanks, contributing to the preservation of local waterways and the prevention of environmental pollution. The activity also served as a hands-on learning experience, reinforcing the importance of proper waste management, collective responsibility, and proactive environmental leadership among student leaders.

Aligned with the advocacies of both FSG–CTU, Inc. and Subang, the River Clean-up Drive underscored the vital role of youth organizations when they join forces to protect natural resources and foster a culture of sustainability. The activity highlighted marcotting as an effective vegetative propagation technique that ensures new plants are exact replicas of the parent tree, thereby preserving desirable characteristics such as fruit size, taste, and yield. This method produces mature, clonal plants within a shorter period, allowing for earlier fruiting and easier management due to reduced tree height. As such, marcotting plays a significant role in sustaining high-quality breadfruit production and advancing food security initiatives.

The activity was led by Dennis B. Bendulo, Subang Human Resources Officer, with the support of Peter John C. Enorio, President of Subang Philippines, and Shaina Faith D. Visorro, President of the Subang–CTU Chapter, together with Miles Wilven Ayuban, Subang Volunteer, and Rod Santiago Lebumfacil Jr., Volunteer Intern. Participants actively engaged in the hands-on propagation process, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship.

Aligned with Subang’s advocacy, with the support of the FSG, for sustainable food systems and environmental conservation, the initiative not only enhanced participants’ technical knowledge but also strengthened collaboration among student leaders in advancing climate-resilient and sustainable community-oriented initiatives.
