𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲! 🎉

With joyful hearts and deep faith, we have successfully held the 𝐑𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭. 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐝 to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, San Isidro.

This sacred image was graciously given by the 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 and from the 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐝.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

His arrival is not just a symbol, but 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗺 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁. 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗼𝗱 venerated at 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗼𝗱, 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂- a gift from the 𝗕𝗼𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 - 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 - was given a solemn 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗢𝗳𝗳 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at the 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗼𝗱, 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂.

Tomorrow, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, this sacred image will arrive and be joyfully welcomed in an 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗿𝗼, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿, for the 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

This image will serve as the 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗬𝗗 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗺 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 in the coming years, to be turned over to the next host parishes.

𝘼 𝙈𝙀𝙎𝙎𝘼𝙂𝙀 𝙏𝙊 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙔𝙊𝙐𝙏𝙃:

Kabataan, in St. Pedro Calungsod we see ourselves - young, talented, full of dreams, but brave enough to say YES to God's call. May his pilgrimage to our Diocese remind us that we are all missionaries. That wherever we are - as students, artists, choir members, altar servers, athletes - we can serve God with courage.

Let us welcome him not only with our songs and applause, but with a heart ready to be sent.

O Saint Pedro Calungsod, young martyr and faithful catechist, you left your comfort zone to bring Christ to others. Accompany us in our journey of faith. Intercede for the youth of Catarman, that we may have the courage to stand for our faith, the humility to serve, and the joy to proclaim Jesus. Make our DYD a true encounter with Christ. Amen.

HAPPY SCOUTING MONTH! ⚜️ | October 1–31

“Be Prepared” not only to serve, but also to love, lead, and live your faith!

This October, as we celebrate Scouting Month, let us remember that being a Scout is more than wearing a uniform, earning badges, or learning survival skills. It is about building character, serving others, and becoming a person who brings goodness wherever life takes them.

As Robert Baden-Powell reminds us, true development begins with reverence for God, respect for our neighbors, and respect for ourselves as servants of God.

And isn't that what our Catholic faith teaches us, too? To love God above all things, to treat others with kindness, and to use our gifts not only for ourselves but also for the service of others. ❤️

From helping someone in need to showing kindness when no one is watching, every small act of service becomes an opportunity to live out our faith.

To all our Scouts, Scout leaders, and everyone who continues to guide the young generation: may your journey always be rooted in faith, strengthened by discipline, and inspired by a heart willing to serve.

May you become not only good Scouts, but also faithful Christians, responsible citizens, and instruments of God's love in the world.

A Scout's greatest achievement is not simply what they accomplish, but how they make life better for others. ⚜️

VIVA! STA. TERESITA! | Today, we celebrate the Memorial of our darling, Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, with a Holy Mass at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Pedro Calungsod, D. Jakosalem St., Cebu City. The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Jonathan Rubin.

The life of Saint Therese teaches us that even the smallest acts, when done out of love for God, can become meaningful and pleasing in His sight. Her “Little Way” reminds us that holiness is found not only in great deeds, but also in the simple things we do each day with love.

An image of Saint Pedro Calungsod was also blessed and will be brought to the Diocese of Catarman by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Cebu Council Catholic Committee for the Diocesan Youth Day 2026, which will be held on October 17–18, 2026, at the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in San Isidro, Northern Samar.

After the Holy Mass, Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament was held, followed by Confession.

May Saint Therese teach us to offer even the smallest things we do each day with great love for God and for others.
