The CTU Main Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Organization (DRRMO) is now accepting 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝟐 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 from students who are interested in becoming part of the organization.

The application period for Batch 2 will only run from 𝙎𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝟏𝟒-𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Applicants are encouraged to secure the application form and complete all requirements within the given application period.

The Cebu Technological University - Main Campus Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Organization (CTU-MC DRRMO) successfully conducted its NSTP Advocacy Campaign, uniting student responders, officers, and hundreds of National Service Training Program (NSTP) participants in a strong push toward campus safety, active citizenship, and disaster resilience.

Designed to bridge foundational safety knowledge with real-world community action, this comprehensive campaign served as an interactive platform to cultivate a proactive mindset among the student body. Throughout the sessions, student participants were exposed to the vital role that personal responsibility and collective vigilance play in safeguarding the campus environment. By emphasizing the importance of institutional readiness and peer-to-peer response networks, the event demonstrated how every student can serve as a crucial line of defense during unexpected emergencies.

Beyond fostering immediate safety awareness, the collaborative initiative highlighted the strategic partnership between the DRRMO and the NSTP unit in nurturing future leaders who are equipped, confident, and ready to act. The organizers emphasized that building a truly disaster-resilient university requires continuous engagement, regular participation in campus-wide initiatives, and a shared dedication to service. The campaign also highlighted opportunities for passionate students to step forward, develop leadership and emergency management capabilities, and actively contribute to the organization's ongoing mission.

Disaster risk management is a shared responsibility, and true resilience begins long before an emergency occurs. By empowering our NSTP students with the right mindset and a strong sense of civic duty, we take another significant step toward building a safer, more prepared, and united university community.

The Cebu Technological University - Main Campus Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Organization (CTU-MC DRRMO) was deeply honored to host the CTU - Consolacion Campus Student Quick Response Team (SQRT) for a comprehensive benchmarking activity held at our campus last August 27, 2026.

Disaster preparedness and effective emergency response are rooted in continuous learning, mutual support, and cross-campus collaboration. This engagement provided a valuable opportunity for both teams to connect, reflect on past operational experiences, and open meaningful discussions regarding the evolving standards of student response teams within the university system.

Throughout the session, officers and responders from both campuses actively engaged in exchanging insights on organizational management, standard operating procedures, and practical strategies for maintaining campus safety and student readiness. Beyond the technical and operational sharing, the benchmarking session served to reinforce the shared vision of building a more cohesive, proactive, and resilient CTU emergency response network across all campuses.

As both organizations continue to grow, interactions like this remind us that our strength lies in unity and shared purpose. CTU-MC DRRMO extends its sincere appreciation to CTU-Consolacion SQRT for their visit, dedication, and active participation. According to the latest monitoring data released by EMB-7, air quality levels in key stations have reached the ACUTELY UNHEALTHY category:

Metro Cebu Station: AQI 252 (Acutely Unhealthy)

Brgy. Cabitoonan, Toledo City Station: AQI 227 (Acutely Unhealthy)

🚨 HEALTH IMPACT & SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:

Limit Outdoor Exertion: As advised by health and environmental authorities, the public SHOULD limit outdoor exertion.

Stay Indoors: Individuals with heart or respiratory conditions (such as asthma), children, pregnant women, and the elderly should remain indoors and rest as much as possible.
