The Recollect Augustinian Youth and Confraternity of Recollection Altar Servers of the University of San Joseโ€“Recoletos Junior High School Department gathered in prayer at the USJโ€‘R Chapel today, October 9, 2026, as they observed Rosary Month by praying the Holy Rosary together.

Rosary Month, celebrated each October in many Catholic communities and observed here during the season of devotion, calls the faithful to meditate on the life of Christ through the mysteries of the Rosary. This month invites deeper reflection, consistent prayer, and communal devotion to Our Lady, asking for her maternal intercession for personal intentions, the Church, and the world.

The devotion was led by members of the Recollect Augustinian Youth with the Confraternity of Recollection Altar Servers joining in communal prayer.
May Our Lady intercede for our students, servers, and families; may her guidance deepen their faith and strengthen their service to the Church and school community.

Todayโ€™s CARAS and RAY formation. We provided members with a deeper understanding of the organizationโ€™s mission, values, and liturgical responsibilities. Through guided discussions, catechesis, and practical training, participants were oriented not only to the history and structure of the RAY and CARAS, but also the spiritual significance of their role during Eucharistic celebrations. The program emphasizes that altar service is more than a set of duties; it is a form of ministry that flows from baptism and calls each member to reverence, discipline, and active participation in the life of the Church.

Beyond liturgical skills, the formation also sought to strengthen the faith of each member by fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. Group reflections, prayers, and fellowship activities created space for participants to grow in their relationship with God and with one another, rooted in the spirituality of the Augustinian Recollects. As CARAS and RAY continue to form young people, this gathering stands as a reminder that true service is grounded in a living faith one that is nurtured through ongoing formation, committed service, and a heart open to Godโ€™s call.
