August 4, 2026 | 5:00 AM – The Barangay Señor Santo Niño Fire Volunteers were deployed as the official medical standby team for the ongoing PDEA PFA Promotion, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the activity.

Throughout the event, the volunteers remained on alert and fully equipped to provide immediate first aid, emergency medical assistance, and rapid response should any medical incident arise. Their presence reflects the brigade’s commitment to maintaining a safe environment and supporting activities through preparedness, professionalism, and dependable public service.

The Barangay Señor Santo Niño Fire Volunteers are honored to be entrusted with safeguarding events that bring our community together, standing ready to respond whenever duty calls.

Upon arrival, the volunteers immediately secured the scene, conducted an initial assessment of the patient, and administered the necessary first aid while continuously monitoring the patient’s condition. The team also coordinated with the appropriate emergency services to ensure the patient received timely medical attention and safe transport for further evaluation and treatment.

Upon arrival, the responding team immediately conducted an initial assessment, applied proper spinal motion restriction (SMR) techniques, and carefully managed the patient to prevent any further injury. Through coordinated teamwork and proper patient handling, the responders ensured the patient was safely transferred for advanced medical evaluation and treatment.

July 31, 2026 | 1:00 PM – Some alarms end with the fire being extinguished. Others end with a hero returning home for the last time.

Today, the Barangay Señor Santo Niño Fire Volunteers stood in unity with fellow responders during the Water Salute to honor the life and legacy of Brigade Leader April Salubre Kangkee. Beneath the arch of water, we paid our final respects to a firefighter whose courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to public service will never be forgotten.

A firefighter’s greatest legacy is not measured by the number of alarms answered, but by the lives protected, the people inspired, and the difference made in the community. Brigade Leader Kangkee embodied these values throughout his service, leaving behind an example that will continue to guide future generations of responders.

To the family, loved ones, and the entire Barangay Carreta Fire Brigade, we extend our deepest condolences. We mourn with you, honor with you, and remember with you.

July 30, 2026 – The Barangay Señor Santo Niño Fire Volunteers promptly responded to a reported residential fire in the vicinity of Puregold, Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City after receiving a 10-70 Fire Alarm.

Upon receiving the alarm, the volunteers immediately mobilized and proceeded to the incident area to assist the responding fire units and provide operational support as needed. The fire initially produced visible black smoke and was reported to be on progress before it was declared under control at 3:35 PM and fire out at 3:52 PM through the coordinated efforts of all responding agencies.

The Barangay Señor Santo Niño Fire Volunteers remain steadfast in their commitment to protecting lives and property by responding promptly, working hand in hand with fellow emergency responders, and upholding the highest standards of public service.

July 30, 2026 | 9:50 AM – The Barangay Señor Santo Niño Fire Volunteers conducted a skills refresher training to review and reinforce their Ascending and Descending techniques in preparation for future rope rescue operations.

The activity focused on refreshing fundamental rope rescue skills, emphasizing proper equipment handling, safety procedures, body positioning, and teamwork. Through continuous practice, the volunteers strengthened their confidence, competence, and operational readiness to ensure safe and effective rescue operations whenever called upon.

This refresher training reflects the brigade’s commitment to continuous learning and professional development, recognizing that consistent practice is essential to maintaining the highest standards of emergency response.
