📅 October 3, 2026 | 6:30 PM — The Barangay Señor Santo Niño Fire Volunteers responded to a woman who suddenly experienced tightness in her neck accompanied by discomfort.

Upon arrival, the volunteers immediately attended to her and checked her vital signs to assess her condition and monitor her overall well-being. The team remained attentive and provided appropriate assistance while ensuring that she was kept safe and comfortable.

October 2, 2026 | 7:00 PM — The Barangay Señor Santo Niño Fire Volunteers, together with the Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSO), were on standby as medics and public safety personnel during the 20th Year Kick-Off of Gabii sa Kabilin.

The team remained ready throughout the event to provide immediate medical assistance, respond to emergencies, and help ensure the safety and well-being of attendees.

Events like Gabii sa Kabilin bring people together to celebrate Cebu’s rich culture, heritage, and history. Behind every successful and safe gathering are dedicated individuals working quietly to make sure everyone can enjoy the occasion with peace of mind.

October 2, 2026 | 11:20 AM — The Barangay Señor Santo Niño Fire Volunteers responded to a fire alarm reported in the vicinity of Cabreros St., Barangay Basak San Nicolas.

According to the initial alert, the fire was reported on progress as of 11:16 AM, with the Basak San Nicolas fire engine responding to the area.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗕𝗜𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗗𝗔𝗬, 𝗛𝗢𝗡. 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗔 𝗣. 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗭! 🎉🌷

Today, we celebrate the birthday of a remarkable woman, a dedicated public servant, a protector, and someone who has become a mother figure to many people in our community.

Hon. Carmela P. Sanchez is a woman who embodies a beautiful contrast, strong enough to stand firm when people need protection, yet gentle enough to listen, understand, and care with a soft heart. Her strength is not measured by how loudly she speaks, but by how courageously she stands for people who need someone to stand beside them.

Perhaps that is why she has been given so many names filled with affection:

❤️ Ate Carms.
❤️ Ma Kons.
❤️ Kons Carmela.
❤️ And many more names that naturally came from the people who have grown close to her.

These names are more than simple nicknames. They are expressions of the love, respect, comfort, and familiarity that people feel whenever they are around her.

To some, she is 𝐀𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐬.—the sister who can be approached, trusted, and relied upon.

To others, she is 𝐌𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐬.—the mother figure who reminds, guides, protects, and cares.

To the community, she is 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐚 —a public servant who continues to dedicate her time, energy, and heart to serving the people.

And to many of us, she is simply someone who has become part of our community’s family.

September 19, 2026 | 6:00 AM — The Barangay Señor Santo Niño Fire Volunteers, together with the Barangay Council, Staff, BPSO, and Task Force, came together to conduct a community clean-up drive.

The activity brought together different groups in a shared effort to keep our surroundings clean, safe, and orderly. Through teamwork and active participation, the community continues to demonstrate that maintaining a safer and cleaner barangay is a responsibility we can accomplish together.
