The Catbalogan City Chapter of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP), Inc. successfully concluded a two-day symposium on Anti-Trafficking in Persons (ATIP), Child Protection Advocacy and Orientation on Unlad Kabataan Program (UKP) in partnership with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), the Local Government Unit of Catbalogan City, in coordination with the Sangguniang Kabataan and Barangay Officials of Barangay Canlapwas.

This two-day event aims to educate participants on important issues on Anti-Trafficking in Person, Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children, and the Convention on the Rights of Children, ensuring that the rights of every child are upheld. By increasing awareness of the law and its implications, we can achieve our goal in creating a safer and more nurturing environment where every child can thrive and be happy.

PYAP - Catbalogan City Chapter would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the young people of Canlapwas for your active participation in the said activity. May this be the start of your journey in advocating youth empowerment and people's rights. We truly value your cooperation and attentive engagement during the activity.

The Catbalogan City Chapter of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP), Inc. successfully concluded a one day symposium entitled "Advocacy Activity on the Promotion of the Rights and Welfare of Children" in partnership with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) the Local Government Unit of Catbalogan City,

This one day event aims to educate participants on important issues about Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC), Anti- Child Sexual Abuse of Exploitation Materials (CSAEM), RA 11313 also known as Safe Spaces Act and RA 7610 Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, ensuring to raise awareness and advocate for the rights and welfare of children in Catbalogan City.

PYAP Catbalogan City Chapter would like to extend a sincere gratitude to each and every participant for your invaluable contributions to our Activity, "Advocacy Activity on the Promotion of the Rights and Welfare of Children." "Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future." - John F. Kennedy

Together with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), The Catbalogan City Chapter of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP), Inc.
conducted a 1 day event at Brgy Mercedes focusing in the community and school awareness campaign on Anti- Trafficking in Person (ATIP) , Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination act, Safe Spaces Act, Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM).

This campaign is a crucial step in empowering our city's youth. By fostering awareness and understanding, we aim to create a supportive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential. We believe that protecting and promoting children's rights is not just a moral imperative, but an investment in the future of our community. Their success is our collective success.

Special thanks to our esteemed resource speakers Ma'am Marie Grace E. Bundac (PNP-WCPD), Atty. Kathrina R. Castillo (Deputy Prosecutor) and to Ma'am Judith A. 1. RAISE AWARENESS : Educate yourself and others about human trafficking, its signs, and its consequences.
2. Support Anti-Trafficking Organizations : Donate to or volunteer with organizations working to combat human trafficking.

The Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) is a barangay-based organization for out-of-school youth between 15-24 years old who are clients of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. PYAP was first incorporated in 1974 as the Pag-asa Youth Movement, Inc. and became affiliated with DSWD.
