On ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Antonio G. Tuason National High School took the opportunity to promote environmental awareness among parents and teachers through ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐: ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฏ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ .
The advocacy was presented by SSLG President ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ during the ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฒ and ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ, where she introduced the project's purpose, process, and advocacy for responsible paper waste management.
With parents as the majority of the attendees, the activity became a meaningful opportunity to share an idea that they can potentially apply in their own households. As the prices of ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐จ๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ฎ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฌ, Project PAPEL DE ULING introduces the concept of transforming discarded paper into an alternative fuel material through proper upcycling.
Beyond reducing paper waste, the project encourages families to see value in materials that are often simply thrown away. It promotes practical environmental awareness while encouraging resourcefulness, responsible consumption, and sustainable practices at home.
The SSLG hopes that the message shared during the advocacy will go beyond the school and reach every household, inspiring families to reduce waste, explore sustainable practices, and make the most of available resources.
