PNP NABS MOST WANTED PERSON FOR A STATUTORY R**E CASE; SUSPECT HAS PRIOR R**E CONVICTION
The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of PNP Chief, PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested the No. 9 Regional Most Wanted Person in Region 2 facing a charge of Statutory R**e during a warrant operation conducted in Barangay Capintalan, Caranglan, Nueva Ecija on June 8, 2026.
The accused, identified by the alias “Fred,” a 31-year-old Filipino male farmer and resident of Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya, was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest. The operation was carried out through intelligence monitoring efforts of the Santa Fe Municipal Police Station, which led authorities to his location.
Records showed that the suspect had previously been incarcerated at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City in connection with a r**e case and was released on probation in 2023.
The accused was taken into police custody at Santa Fe Police Station pending turnover to the issuing court for proper legal proceedings.
PNP Chief, PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., said the operation reflects the duty of law enforcement to act on court-issued warrants.
“The PNP remains committed to serving all warrants of arrest and ensuring that individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the justice system,” said PGEN Nartatez.
He added that operations against wanted persons will continue without letup. “Hindi kami titigil sa pagtupad ng aming mandato hanggang ang lahat ng may kaso ay maiharap sa hukuman at mapanagot sa batas,” he said.
The operation aligns with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly its priority on Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which strengthens warrant service operations and the pursuit of wanted persons.
The arrest underscores the continuing campaign of the PNP to apprehend individuals with standing warrants in support of the criminal justice system.
As the PNP intensifies its campaign against wanted persons under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
