Statement on the Delay in Accessing Election Data from the Transparency Server Assigned to PPCRV

As of 8:15 PM, the Transparency Server has received approximately 34% of the election results. However, we are currently unable to download the data for processing, which is a serious concern for us.

We have been in constant communication with COMELEC, but as of now, we have not received any explanation. The only file provided to us so far contains no data.

This situation is highly unusual. Since 2010, we have not experienced a delay of this nature, ie, not even receiving a first data dump, especially despite over one-third of results already being transmitted.

We understand that COMELEC is meeting at this time. We pray for a swift resolution, and more importantly, for immediate access to the data, so that we may maintain transparency and clarity about what is unfolding in our country.

We will update you as soon as we receive the data. In the meantime, we want to underscore: this delay is unprecedented and deeply concerning.

The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) is looking for volunteers to help promote clean and honest elections.

Those who are interested may register outside the parish during all Sunday Masses.
