The youth of Alyansang Kabataan para sa Kalikasan in Castillejos are taking bold steps to protect the environment through a successful cleanup drive and the implementation of the *Tapat Ko, Linis Ko* program. This effort is in line with Republic Act (RA) 9003, also known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2001, which seeks to establish sustainable waste management practices nationwide.
RA 9003 encourages all citizens to actively segregate, recycle, compost, and dispose of waste properly. Local government units (LGUs) are empowered to enforce ordinances requiring residents to keep their areas clean and green, with scheduled garbage collection and penalties for violators.
Programs like *Tapat Ko, Linis Ko* are more than just regulations—they are a call to action for everyone to take ownership of their surroundings and contribute to a healthier, greener future.
