FIRST QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED)

NSED Venue: Paraiso Elementary School and Sitio Paraiso Community, Brgy. Culat, Casiguran, Aurora

The successful conduct of the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) once again demonstrated the importance of community participation in disaster preparedness. Residents, local officials, volunteers, and various stakeholders actively took part in the earthquake, tsunami, and community evacuation drills, showing their commitment to safety and readiness.

Through collective action and cooperation, the community strengthened its awareness on proper evacuation procedures, emergency response, and coordination during disasters. Activities like the NSED remind us that disaster preparedness is a shared responsibility, and that a well-informed and actively participating community is key to saving lives.

Building a Resilient Community Through Preparedness

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction ang Management Office of Casiguran, Aurora conducted the NSED Orientation focusing on Earthquake Drill, Tsunami Drill, and Community Evacuation Drill as part of strengthening our disaster preparedness efforts held at Paraiso Elementary School.

This activity highlights the vital role of community participation in evacuation planning, ensuring that every member of the community understands the proper actions to take before, during, and after a disaster.

Preparedness is a shared responsibility. By actively involving the community in planning and drills, we empower individuals, families, and local leaders to work together for a safer and more resilient community. Through cooperation, awareness, and readiness, we can reduce risks and save lives.

𝗣𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗗 𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗢 : AURORA PROVINCE IS UNDER STATE OF CALAMITY

Nag pasa ng resolusyon ang Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council matapos umabot sa 43 % ng populasyon ang naapektohan ng nagdaang " Super Typhoon Uwan" gayundin ang mga pinsalang dinulot nito sa imprastraktura, Agrikultura, Paghahayupan at kabuhayan ng mga residente ng lalawigan.

Matapos ang session ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan kahapon ay pormal nang Dineklara ang State of Calamity sa Lalawigan sa pamamagitan ng Resolution No. 188 Series of 2025 " A Resolution Declaring a State of Calamity in the Province of Aurora Due to the Disaster Effects of Super Typhoon UWAN ( FUNG-WONG)"
