The Carrascal Indigenous Peoples Youth Organization (CIPYO) have participated and finished the 2 day Training of Trainers for Youth Leaders on Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) and Capacity-Building on the Ordinance on Safety Hours for Minors on December 2-3, 2025 at Oasis Beach View Resort, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.

The Cultural and Heritage Committee Chairperson of the Carrascal Indigenous Peoples Youth Organization (CIPYO), Mr. Jeymer Angeles, together with fellow CIPYO members — Judy Faith Ponson, Camela Princess Guia, Ellaizell Corpuz, Ashley Cayon and other CIPYO youth members — joyfully took part in the Indigenous Peoples (IP) Day celebration at Adlay National High School.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share stories, celebrate our roots, and inspire the younger generation to take pride in our rich culture and heritage as Indigenous Peoples of Carrascal.

In celebration of Museums and Galleries Month and National Indigenous Peoples Month, our team proudly joined “Panagkitaay: A Day with the Indigenous Peoples of Caraga with Special Guided Tour” held at the National Museum of the Philippines – Butuan Regional Museum, Brgy. Doongan, Butuan City.

It was truly a meaningful day of learning, cultural exchange, and appreciation for the rich heritage of the Indigenous Peoples of Caraga. 🌿✨

Our heartfelt thanks to Datu Engwan S. Ala, Municipal Tribal Chieftain of Carrascal, for his unwavering support to our youth; Atty. Fritzielynne Sumando for the opportunity to be part of this event; and the National Museum of the Philippines – Butuan for warmly welcoming us. 🙏💚
