𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Reinforcing its commitment to advancing data privacy in the country, ODPP formally paid a courtesy visit to the National Privacy Commission to welcome and congratulate its new leadership. The engagement highlighted ODPP’s growing role in championing nationwide privacy awareness, professional development, and stronger data protection governance in support of a more privacy-conscious nation.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Privacy Commissioner and Chairman Atty. Johann Carlos S. Barcena, CESO III, as well as Deputy Privacy Commissioners Atty. Jose Amelito S. Belarmino II and Atty. Juan Paolo F. Fajardo, for their warm welcome and meaningful discussion.

Beyond alignment, ODPP formally submitted formal letter urging key government agencies to institutionalize the Data Protection Officer (DPO) role.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: To elevate the DPO from a collateral assignment into a permanent, institutionalized, and professionalized fixture within public and private organizational structures, securing sustainable governance and resilient management.
