Culminating Activity: Creative Mini Pots

In a fun and engaging culminating activity, children unleashed their creativity by transforming recycled bottles into vibrant mini pots through painting. With brushes in hand, they brought their imagination to life, adorning the bottles with colorful patterns, designs, and themes. This hands-on project not only promoted environmental awareness through upcycling but also allowed the children to express their artistic side, taking pride in their unique creations. As they worked, the room buzzed with excitement and chatter, showcasing the joy of learning and creativity. Week 1: Small hands, big impact! Our young eco-warriors kicked off our clean-up drive with enthusiasm and enery!

Today marked the beginning of our advocacy campaign, "Trash to Treasure: Empowering Young Eco-Warriors" aimed at teaching children about proper waste disposal, biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable materials.

First, we did a house to house visitation to inform and acquire the parent's consent of the children.
Then as we stepped into the vibrant purok center, we were greeted by a group of curious and energetic children, eager to learn about the importance of taking care of our planet.

We began by explaining the concept of waste disposal, using examples about simple things that we see in our surroundings to illustrate the differences between biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable materials.

As we started the clean up drive, the children participated enthusiastically in hands-on activities like sorting different materials into their respective categories.

The highlight of the session was a fun and interactive, where the children had to sort different materials into their respective bins.

As our advocacy campaign came to a close, our team felt a sense of pride and fulfillment, knowing that we had taken the first step towards empowering the next generation.

Hopefully, the ripple effect of our advocacy campaign would spread far and wide, shaping the minds of young individuals and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
