NEW CLARK CITY EXPANDS INTO EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT HUB
CAPAS, Tarlac – State-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has partnered with New Clark Academy to establish a learning and workforce development center in New Clark City, expanding the emerging metropolis’ role as a hub for human capital development and skills training.
The partnership was formalized through a contract of lease signed by BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang and New Clark Academy representative Kyung Bub Ahn.
Under the agreement, portions of the New Clark City Athletes’ Village and its supporting facilities will be repurposed to accommodate programs focused on English language instruction, technical-vocational education, and workforce development.
BCDA said the initiative is designed to provide students, trainees, and educators with a purpose-built environment that supports learning, skills enhancement, and professional growth, while helping address the country’s need for a future-ready workforce.
The project forms part of BCDA’s broader strategy to transform New Clark City into a sustainable and inclusive growth center where infrastructure investments generate long-term economic and social benefits.
Officials said expanding access to quality education and training opportunities will help improve workforce competitiveness and prepare Filipinos for emerging industries and evolving labor market demands.
The partnership also signals continued diversification within New Clark City, which has been positioned as a next-generation urban center hosting government facilities, sports infrastructure, business investments, and innovation-driven developments.
BCDA said the collaboration marks another milestone in New Clark City’s evolution as a destination for learning, innovation, and talent development, supporting national growth objectives and strengthening the country’s competitiveness in the global economy.
