In celebration of ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ง๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐๐๐ฒ, the ISEE Candon Chapter initiated ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐: ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ at Tamurong 2nd, in partnership with student leaders, the Sangguniang Kabataan, Barangay Officials, and volunteers of Tamurong 2nd, Candon City, Ilocos Sur.
Bringing Ocean and River Education Beyond the Classroom
Concept:
ALON: Blue Classroom is an environmental education initiative that brings learners beyond the traditional classroom to discover, understand, and protect rivers, watersheds, wetlands, coastal ecosystems, and the ocean.
It transforms waterways into living classrooms, where young people learn through observation, exploration, storytelling, citizen science, and hands-on environmental action.
As part of the activity, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฑ ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ conducted a brief open forum where volunteers shared their insights on the importance of the activity. They also discussed their respective platforms, initiatives, and projects, opening opportunities for future collaboration.
We look forward to more meaningful collaborations with ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ข๐๐๐ซ๐๐จ ๐๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ, ๐๐๐ง๐๐จ๐ง ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ and other stakeholders in promoting environmental awareness and action among the youth.
