NARRATIVE CHANGE WORKSHOP TOWARDS YOUTH ENGAGEMENT
โShifting Narratives: Amplifying Youth Voices for Participation and Engagementโ
A two-day capacity-building program designed to empower young creatives, student leaders and advocates, artists, and educators with the critical and creative tools to examine, challenge, and transform dominant narratives that shape public discourse. Anchored in arts-based and participatory methodologies, the workshop aims to deepen participantsโ understanding of how narratives influence perceptions and behaviors, particularly around pressing social issues such as democracy, disinformation, inequality, and social justice.
Through a combination of theater-based exercises, dialogue, and collaborative creation, participants will learn to identify harmful or limiting narratives and develop alternative, transformative narratives that inspire meaningful youth participation and civic engagement.
*This workshop brings together a group of invited participants from partner schools and organizations in UP Los Banos and Southern Tagalog.
