Former Senators Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino have accepted their nominations for the 2025 elections, positioning themselves as candidates for the Liberal Party (LP) and the Katipunan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KANP), respectively.
Pangilinan has a significant legislative track record, having authored over 150 laws, including the Sagip Saka Act (RA 11321), the Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund Act (RA 11524), and the 105-Day Expanded Maternity Leave Law (RA 11210). He also contributed to the Free Internet Access in Public Places Act (RA 10929) and the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (RA 10931), among others.
