HISTORY

After establishing the Sta. Cruz hospital in the late 80's, the Josue-De Jesus families began reaching out to Calumpiteños through its medical mission program. The goal was to bring free medical, pediatric, surgical, and dental services to the barangays.

This undertaking was spear-headed by then medical director Dr. Norman Josue, Dr. Corazon De Jesus-Josue, and Dr. Levita De Jesus-Panis. Accompanying them in this advocacy were Dr. Jessie De Jesus and Engr. James De Jesus.

Throughout the years, many came to help and contribute in this mission, thus the services also expanded. From the core services of medical check-up, pediatric examination, cyst excision, circumcision, tooth extraction, then came blood analysis, bone screening, and Pap smear test.

After more than three decades, the Sta. Cruz hospital medical mission continues to grow with the arrival of its next generation of doctors. Services like OB/GYN ultrasound and prostate screening are now part of the mission program, which are provided by Dr. Ivie Josue-Martinez and her husband Dr. Marlon Martinez, repectively.
