𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟰: 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺: 𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗣

Our journey ends where our hearts are fullest.

On our last day in Barangay 122, Caloocan City, we conducted a simple yet meaningful feeding program—serving warm bowls of lugaw with eggs to children, passersby, and hardworking riders. 🍲🥚

This wasn’t just about food. It was about sharing comfort, kindness, and care. From weeks of preparation, our sweat, effort, and even our own resources, all of it became worth it the moment we saw their smiles and heard their heartfelt gratitude.

We didn’t just leave Barangay 122 with fulfilled academic requirements—we left with filled hearts, knowing that even small acts of service can make a big difference.

Our team is deeply grateful to the Barangay 122, our professor, our classmates, and the residents who became part of this journey. This may be the end of our NSTP-CWTS 2, but we hope that the kindness we shared will be remembered long after we’re gone.

Great job, BSSW 1A! 🎉💜 Here’s to more service and compassion. Our Section would like to leave a quote from Anne Frank: "You can always, always give something, even if it is only kindness."

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟯: 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺: 𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗣

Clean streets, Cleaner hearts 💚✨

As part of our NSTP-CWTS 2 Day 3, we conducted a clean-up drive in Barangay 122 in support of Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities 🏡🌱

This activity was more than just picking up trash, it was a reminder that even the simplest acts of volunteering can create a meaningful impact. By cleaning our surroundings, we help make our community more livable, healthier, and refreshing for everyone. 🌍🧹

Through this initiative, we also aimed to inspire residents to see that maintaining cleanliness doesn’t require big actions, just consistency, care, and a shared sense of responsibility.

We give our gratitude to our team who had spent hours cleaning under the sun. The Bachelor of Science in Social Work encourages everyone who is reading this, to show care to our environment by throwing trash in proper bins. 🍃💚

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺: 𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗣

Bayanihan is more than neighbors lending a hand; it’s the heart of helping each other. It’s the spirit that moves a community to rise together and to share effort. Our Day 2 NSTP-CWTS 2 in Barangay 125 showed bayanihan in action, each hand and each smile made our program a success because of the people who believed in it and the social work students that kept going.

Community work isn’t just about fulfilling an academic requirement; it’s about sharing knowledge and giving children a chance to experience the joy of being Filipino.

We had the privilege to introduce traditional games like "𝗽𝗶𝗸𝗼" and "𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼", weaving fun with our very own culture and values.

As Henry David Thoreau said, "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭𝘴." This very own journey we have encapsulated how the process is more of worth than the prize. 🤍

Maria Montessori once said, “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥"

We came to the Arellano Elementary School in thoughts that we were simply fulfilling a requirement, another course that had to be passed, another task to complete. But somewhere between the laughter of children and their bright, curious eyes, something quietly stirred within us.

The children welcomed us with the kind of joy that cannot be taught in books. Their innocence, their excitement to participate, and the way they held onto every small interaction reminded us of something pure—something we often forget as we grow older.

We thought we were there to teach them, but in truth, they taught us more. They reminded us that service is not just an obligation; it is a calling that grows in the simplest moments—through shared smiles, playful conversations, and the warmth of human connection.

The Day 1 felt like more than just the beginning of a community program. It felt like the quiet beginning of a passion forming within us.

And as the day ended, we walked away tired—but with hearts a little fuller, and purpose a little
clearer. ✨
