The Double Grip of Protection

Text: John 10:27–30

Jesus said, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.” — John 10:28

What a precious promise! Our salvation is not something we hold onto by our own strength. We are securely held in the double grip of God’s protection—held by the hand of the Good Shepherd, Jesus, who laid down His life for us, and held by the hand of the Father, from whom no one can sn**ch us. (John 10:28–29)

And because the Son and the Father are one (John 10:30), we can rest in the assurance that our salvation is secure in Him.

Because we are secure in Christ, we are free—free to obey, free to serve, and free to love Him without fear. We do not follow Jesus in order to earn salvation; we follow Him because we already belong to Him. We do not serve to earn His love; we serve because His love has already claimed and secured us. (Ephesians 1:13–14)

So, listen to His voice. Follow His leading. Trust His protection. And live boldly for Him.

You are held. You are secure. You are deeply loved. You are forever His.

The Blueprint of a Healthy Believer 📖
[ ACTS 2:41-42 ]

The early church gives us the divine blueprint for spiritual health: devotion to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.

Our generation is in danger of being biblically illiterate, relationally isolated, spiritually forgetful, and prayerless. But God is calling His people back. Back to the Word that equips us. Back to the fellowship that strengthens us. Back to the table that reminds us of the Cross. Back to the altar of prayer where we meet with God. The secret of a strong believer has never been gifts or success. It is wholehearted devotion to Christ — to His Word, His body, His remembrance, and His presence.

The question before us today is simple: The early Christians were devoted. Are we? May we return to the ancient path and live as a people fully devoted to Jesus Christ.

• Prevent problems from becoming more serious

Our online habits can either help or harm our mental health.

Unhealthy habits:

• Negative comparison and seeking validation
• Oversharing
• Doomscrolling and staying up too late
• Impulsive posting, gossip, and drama

Healthy habits:

• Set boundaries and limits
• Connect authentically with family and friends
• Protect your privacy
• Share content that encourages and inspires
• Share your struggles with the right people—and with God
