🇵🇭 We Pray for Visayas
“Whoever remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.” — Proverbs 29:1 (NIV)
The flooding and devastation in Cebu is not just a story of heavy rain — it’s a reflection of years of warnings we’ve ignored.
God has been patiently calling our attention through the cries of creation, through the groaning of our land, through the repeated reminders of conscience. But instead of listening, we’ve hardened our hearts.
May Cebu’s tragedy awaken in us a holy awareness: that God’s warnings are not meant to destroy us, but to save us — if only we would listen.
For those grieving in Cebu, we mourn with you, we stand with you — and as one nation, we commit to doing better: for our cities, our climate, and our neighbours.
Let this be a moment not only of despair, but of awakening.
Lord, we ask for Your comfort for every grieving heart and strength for those rebuilding their lives. Bless the hands reaching out to help, and guide our government to act with wisdom, compassion, and urgency in providing aid.
Even in devastation, may Your light shine through every act of kindness and unity.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🕊️
